you'd been in contact with west ham over a loan deal, you contacted spurs to gauge interest on us making an offer.

i still don't understand why you're picking up on adebayor's bonuses, what does it matter to you? if anything, i hope you're right, the less we spend on wages, the better.

and lol at you saying nobody would want adebayor. tell me, who scored and assisted more last season, adebayor or carroll? we've just signed adebayor for £29m less than you paid for carroll.

Is this a fact?

How do you know that Liverpool have been in contact with West Ham and contacted Spurs? West Ham's owner said he'd be interested if he was available but there had been no contact and AVB said in his press-conference that he had no idea what Liverpool's intentions were over Carroll.

I don't really care, I made one comment which you've responded to with your usual bizarre reasoning which is what I've questioned.

And scoring more than Andy Carroll doesn't make you in demand. If he was in such high demand why are City selling him for £6m? There's limited interest in him because he's on such big money. As a fair few people have already said, £100k per week for Adebayor is expensive to say the very least.

because city have money to burn, he has no place at city, they have better options.

if carroll has a future, why have you signed borini? rodgers has said that he's not sure he'll fit his system and carroll has said he understands the added pressure.

AVB also ruled himself out of the spurs job and was confirmed less than a week later. that's how football works. carroll has been linked with a cash or loan move for a few weeks. i can see either or happening.

Ah yes because City are just giving players away on a whim. It's not as if they've kept hold of Tevez for the last few transfer windows because nobody is willing to pay them what they think he's worth.

City want to get him of their wage bill and £6m is all they can get because his wages.

I've not said Carroll does have a future under Rodgers

Did he?
I thought he just said Spuds were talking to lots of other managers not just him.

Is there any quotes from AVB saying there's no chance he'll take the Spurs job?

And Carroll leaving Liverpool is one way or another is not the same as what you've been claiming to be fact - that he's been offered on loan to Spurs and that West Ham are in negotiations to sign him on loan.

you can't compare tevez to adebayor. for all tevez' faults, his work ethic is superior to adebayor's. adebayor was out of favour at city for a long time. he was loaned to real then us (when real didn't want him, can't compare real to spurs, they have far better options) and i wouldn't go as far as to say city are giving players away on a whim but they have unthinkable cash at their disposal and can afford to take the hits.

just look at the players they bought in late 2008 and how much they've lost on the likes of jo, robinho, santa cruz, bellamy and now adebayor. heck, they're paying bridge a silly amount to play for brighton! not quite a whim but this is a case of having money to write off such 'mistakes'. i'm surprised tevez hasn't gone, even if he did pull his finger out when he came back.

and if you're agreeing you may think carroll has no future under rodgers, why are you having such difficulty with the cash or loan move stories?

Far from it. The journalist that wrote the article that cm's basing his rubbish on even back tracked in his article the very next day.

Oh no I know it wasn't fact, just hoped that cm would try and say it was when we all know he's just taking a few 'rumours' and 'articles' as fact.

I hoped he would start some tirade about how he was 'ITK' which would have been fantastic.

you can't compare tevez to adebayor.....

Regardless what they think of Adebayor, they're not just going to let him go for £6m if they think they can get more for him.

I don't have any difficulty believing that Carroll is likely to be leaving. I'm questioning aspects of these stories that don't sound believable and particularly you for repeating any old rubbish as fact.

As I said above, you're claiming that Carroll was offered to Spurs on loan based on an article in the telegraph that you linked to the other day. The journalist that wrote that article changed his story the very next day, stating that Liverpool don't actually want to loan Carroll but want an outright sale.

i don't believe i did (but if i did, i have gotten that wrong), i always said the loan was to west ham and that spurs were contacted to gauge interest for a cash sale (as we bid £20m for him when he was at newcastle) the bottom line still remains, liverpool will sell him or loan him.

This is like de ja vu, maby66 has been asking for him to back up his statements and now you are. Don't waste your pixels.

I've been through debates like this with him before. He still doesn't learn that you can't make up random stuff and get away without people asking you to back it up.

Nice.
Expect a reply like 'oh bore off' soon then, why do people like you bother with facts? Makes my blood boil that does.
