I was on the bus awaiting departure when the bus driver asked if anybody had a phone - he explained somebody had collapsed not far away. I saw a man administering CPR to a casualty.
I got off to investigate.
The casualty was concious but had a face swamped with blood. He wasn't too coherent whilst his colleague was obviously just drunk.
'Is he okay?' I asked.
I was reassured that everything was perfect. Fearing for my safety, I jumped back on the bus to dial 999.
The bus departed and I was on my way. I was contacted for further details and discovered the men had not been found - even though the emergency services reported they were at the scene within seconds.
This got me wondering, how many times have you had to dial 999?
