***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Can't decide between an iPhone 4S or a SIII. :( I'm not really good at all this customizing stuff which is why I was leaning towards an iPhone. Is the SIII really that much better than a 4S?

Faster hardware but not really noticable day to day mate. The diff is if you want a nice big hd screen for browsing/games or not.

Dont be put off by customisation, the point of android is that you have the OPTION to do it unlike iOS, but its by no means mandatory the phones all come set up ready to rock :)

You're asking in the S3 thread, what do you think people are going to say... ;)

I personally think that it does definitely edge it, but mainly because I want a bigger screen. The rest is pretty much preference/tied (in real world use).
 
Hey guys, does anyone know how to enable Hebrew language on the handset? I seem to have it on mine and yet a mate of mine just got his and he doesn't have it. He has the LF2 firmware while I updated it to LFB myself. Is that why?

Will installing the LFB one invalidate the warranty? Or is there another way to add or unlock Hebrew? Trying to do a software update on his handset results in no update available.
 
My blue S3 arrived Thursday, picked up the official clear Samsung case (duo pack) and the Belkin screen protectors from mobilefun. Coming from a HTC Hero with 1.5 Cupcake and Desire with 2.3.3 am very impressed with ICS, altho I imagine the hardware inside the S3 has a lot to do with it!

Just a few questions, what is everyone using SatNav wise on them? And is there any advantage rooting now? Kind of had my fill of it with the previous two HTC's!!

Well impressed with the screen protector, never managed to put one on bubble free but this is spotless and was simple to fit! And the Samsung cover fits perfect, well it should really. So afraid of dropping it tho :o
 
I only rooted my S3 to allow Titanium backups as well as the occasional Nandroid backup before getting the Samsung firmware updates.... Like you, I cannot be bothered flashing new ROM's and the possible ballache with them anymore. Also, Cerberus is more effective with root...

The exception to this would be a fully working Jellybean ROM with TW :p
 
Gah! Need to ask the more knowledgeable members whether my phone has poor build quality.

There seems to be a very slight gap on one side of the front screen where it joins the main body of the phone (enough that I can catch my nail on one side without it slipping whereas the other side slips off). Dust seems to be collecting and I'm worried that after a while it might surface under the screen, had the same issue with my iphone before it was replaced under warranty.

I can't remember whether the S3 I had exchanged (faulty camera) had any gaps but is this normal?

No it isn't normal, my S3 has no gaps at all, get it replaced hopefully 3rd time lucky.
 
Im sure earlier in thsi thread MRK got his phone mounting properly so the phone mounted as external storage?

How does one go about doing this? I do have it rooted.

Mine has the little slit gap at the top. Its where you start to open the back. My Galaxy S had it at the bottom.
 
Just installed allshare on my pc and started allshare cast on my galaxy s3 but my phone cant find my pc? :confused:

Anyone know whay that would be? It connects to Samsung Kies perfectly over thee wireless connection so why not allshare??
