Well peed off as i asked for a cancellation and got a reply on 15th July saying:


"Hi Andrew,

At this point it is no longer possible to cancel this order. Your order is
processed shortly after your purchase is complete. Our expedited order
fulfillment process ensures that packages are delivered quickly, which
also means that there is a very short window of time to cancel an order
prior to our shipping provider moving forward with delivery.

I recommend leaving a prominent note on the door to let our shipping
provider know that you're refusing delivery of the package. In some cases
our shipping provider has returned packages if their drivers see a note
for refusal of delivery. The note should include the following:

- Refuse delivery-Return to Sender
- Include signature
- Include tracking #

If your package is returned due to refusal of delivery, your order will be
cancelled and refunded within 2 weeks.

If the package is successfully delivered in spite of the delivery refusal
note on your door, you can still refuse delivery of unopened packages
within 5 days of delivery. To do so, contact our shipper directly to
schedule a pick up of your package. Make sure to let them know that the
pickup is specifically because you're refusing delivery.

IMPORTANT: Don't open the package. Our shipper will not allow refusal of
delivery for opened packages.

Packages are delivered quickly eh? - I don't think so as they still haven't taken any money from me!
.... and to add insult to injury i received an email from them shortly after asking me to fill in a customer service questionnaire based on their response !

I won't go into details but i told them i was extremely dissatisfied with their logistics and won't be voting for any of their products again with my wallet.

I now see that this fiasco is getting more media attention and rightly so.

Good to know. My play store order that I cancelled yesterday has now been marked as shipped by TNT today! Will leave a note. If they leave it with a neighbour/without me signing I'm tempted to plead ignorance, as I'm away next week and haven't got time to wait in on a pickup to return it.
 
Well TNT weren't able to re del to the correct address "later" so I hope it gets here issue free early tomorrow:rolleyes::rolleyes:. This whole release has been a fiasco, I hope the person that chose computer2000 as a UK distributer loses their job all I ever hear about computer2000 are eff ups and late shoddy completion of their contracts.:mad:

Why the rush, there's no competition they could've scheduled "Nexus day" for August the 6th or something and lined every thing up and done some decent quality assessment of batches, shakes head.

Kona's got me thinking of refusing the N7 and offering my son £280 for his SGT 7.7 and accessories now he's got an S3, he'll need the money and that'll pay 14 months of his cash contribution to the phone, it's more than he stumped up for the tab.

Getting angry at having to wait for this (even though I pre-ordered it on the 1st :(). Was thinking of doing in store collection at carphone warehouse - question, they say it will be in stock on friday, does anyone know if this is true? If I order it for collect in store will I get it on friday?

Or anyone know somewhere else I can get one from? Getting desperate. :p

Just got my shipment confirmation!

Guy at work got his today, got his confirmation mail early morning, received it mid afternoon.
So i did what any good person would: I drained his battery to 2% by completing Fieldrunners HD in my dinner break. :p

Hope mine comes tomorrow as im not in work on Friday. :o :p

Try BSlite player - use their hardware decoder too in the options. :)
 
And I have a screen raise clicky one.

Such a promising device crippled for me with unstable flash, no movie streaming and a clicky screen.

If you really love SAMOLED screen it's an easy choice If your son takes £280 for it. :p

Has a few advantages over the N7 too - metal body, thin bezel, sd slot, excellent speakers, GLONASS, awesome battery life - yours has 3G too iirc.
 
Sounds to me Tom it will be better if you can buy instore and check it before you leave.

Mines is lifted on one side by a fraction of a milometer, but no creaking/clicking. Apart from that it is perfect.
 
I'd prefer a 7.7 I'm come to conclusion

but its quite a price :(

thing is - as a "commute" device - really needs 3G - most of the browsing etc I do on my Iphone whilst commuting is "online" rather than "offline"

If you only want it for the 3G, a MiFi would be ok with a N7?
