"...Friday 13th July..."

Lol, sometimes its just strange...Is there a sort of strange rule in the universe that denotes, significant items in a society to occur more often? (if anyone gets what i am saying)

Perhaps its just because of the significance that we notice it more, but i dunno feels like there's more to it.

Does anyone have any high rubys i can borrow? Me and another overclockers user (Aman) are just trying to level as quickly as possible but the highest Rubys we have are flawless. :(

I genuinely don't understand the griping against the RMAH. I've never used, have no intention of using it, and can't see why I would need to use it. There's plenty of bargains to be had on the normal AH that will allow you to progress, I don't think I've spent over 150k on an item and finished act 3 inferno last night on my monk, hoping to complete act 4 tonight.

You can finish the game with most classes on inferno without spending much at all on the gold ah, but to farm act 3 or higher with relative ease requires 100s of millions in gold or hundreds of £ on the rmah.

So anyone have good advice for Hell farming for a barb? Decided to go back to Hell as i was getting owned in inferno. Get some money n drops going.

Pretty much all of Act 3 is the best I reckon. Start from the field after you've raised all the catapults and play through the crater. I got a couple of reasonable weapon upgrades from hell which helped a ton in Act 1 Inferno. You could probably round up the entire map and stand in a corner and kill everything

Sounds good, i cant stand the one with the catapults

I believe Life Steal is drastically reduced as you go through the levels, reduced 20% in Nightmare, 50% in Hell and 80% in Inferno, you may already know this, but no harm throwing it out for others to read.

So your life steal is only getting you ~295 (25000 * 0.059 * 0.2) rather than the expected ~1495 (25000 * 0.059) still a nice amount when added to your LoH, but maybe less than expected.

For Ghom try and get into a corner before he lets lose the first set of gas, then stay right on the edge of the cloud until the second one, this will keep the clouds together rather than filling the room and allow you some room to stay out of the gas for a bit.

Yeah, was aware, but thought I'd read somewhere that LoH was also neferd, although looking now, I can't find that one... But swear I read it the other day xD

I'm afraid I don't agree, at all.

As far as I am concerned, if you can complete the game, you can farm it. I don't mean walking over every mob in MF gear which is what I think most of the people saying you need to spend millions on the AH or money on the RMAH mean, I mean being able to kill 99% of the mobs in the act. That is perfectly doable without spending a fortune on either AH.

That's the thing though, farming is about efficiency, maximising gold/items per hour/run.

My monk for instance had 35k hp, 750 AR, 30k DPS, 44% crit, 259% crit dam, 6% life steal, 700 LoH, 2.05 APS. I could clear ACT3 fairly easily with few if any deaths. Now if I wanted to really farm it efficiently I would need to reduce the time it takes to clear. Which would increase the gold/items gained per hour/run.

To do that I would have needed to bump my DPS up by 10-20k, which would require more crit chance/dam and attack speed.

Items with all 3 of the above cost 10's of millions with high end items like rings/amulets costing 100's of millions.

Managed to kill Belial on my first try on Act 2. Have been on and off watching my housemate try again and again with his Monk and fail despite having been in a position to stay alive on act 2 for a while. He just hits the enrage timer and dies when Belial has a slither of life left.

Meanwhile I killed him the second time he did the hands in the ground / green blobs thing. :D

Nearly salvaged this axe due to the low dps. I wonder how much it will end up going for as its at 1.4 mil already with 22 hours to go.

lol it went for 10.1 mil in the end :D
