Because they didn't know for sure when new stock was arriving.

I did mate. I bought it from Currys, took it their first, the customer service was disgusting though.

I took it to the purple shirt dudes, no problem with them at all. Processed me a refund instantly.

Thanks mate. There's a purple shirts closer so will take it their first.
 
I'll pick mine up in an hour or so (it's been delivered to work and I'm at home today). If it has the screen problem I will keep it and then get it swapped out when later batches come out.
 
I have just got home and it seems my sister is blind (or i am)

I cannot feel any difference between the left and right side to indicate the left is raised a little.

No dead pixels or dents either. Is there anything i can do software wise to check if i do have any dead pixels?
 
pre-ordered on the 29th with GP, 16gb version, just been charged for it today, mildly annoyed its taken so long, but then i've spent the last week making a new pc shopping list, then buying it and building it so if anything the timing is ironically perfect... lets just hope for a non-faulty unit now

Gonna chuck some high def video at it now and see how she performs....
 
Well tesco just cancelled my order.. I ordered another today for collection at my local store and just had an email saying they had refunded my money..

Rang them up and they said they had sold out and the online store couldnt keep up :eek:

As i just said 5mins ago my sister is either blind or i am because i can't see anything wrong!

Using it now perfectly. Maybe she did it on purpose :p
 
I have one sitting on reservation with purple shirts from earlier. I'm undecided if to try another one again. :p

Is their anything in the same league as the Nexus 7 for around the same price point? I could add maybe another £50 to my budget of £200.
 
Ok, anyone with a Nexus 7 needs to go to the Play store and download Where's My Perry....I've just wasted the past hour playing on it!

Think I'll get one even though I have an s3 and laptop this just appeals to me. Played with it more in store today and it's so quick

That was a great game. Finished it about a week ago on my Nexus 7.
