Alan Wake is amazing, buy it :D

Anyone played Krater? Wanted it the other day when it didn't get voted for the community choice.

Went for The Witcher. If I enjoy how the first one plays I might buy the second tomorrow. The first and second essentially play the same don't they?

Don't think they do, 1 is a point and click Diablo style game and 2 is a Dragon Age style game, I think... Go check gameplay videos.

No they're a bit different. If you don't like the first one though don't write off the second. The first one is one of the best games I've played and I've just started the second. Also you can activate the games on GOG if you bought them on Steam. You can download the soundtracks, wallpapers and few other things.

Not at all.

Moothead- They play completely differently. TW combat is done by timed clicking, wheareas TW2 is more smooth. In TW you can change views, so it can be Over-the-shoulder or Isometric, TW2 is all over-the-shoulder.

Why Risen 2 hasn't even been reduced though I have no idea, they'd make an absolute killing at half price, so many people are on the fence about it.

Pretty sure it was 25% or 33% off a couple of days ago. Still looked expensive for a sale game to me was over £20.

I echo the point people are making about how for sale veterans the options will get more limited over time, the same set of games tend to show up in the sales so if you've been doing the sales for a couple of years at xmas, thanksgiving, summer etc chances are you already own a lot of them. Likewise the big bumper publisher packs, buy them once and even if more titles get added over time you probably won't be interested in buying it again. That doesn't mean Valve are doing a bad job, it is just something you have to live with.

It is also why IMO the community votes are quite good because when you get something a bit 'random' like Sim City 4 or The Longest Journey thrown in, veterans will vote for them because they haven't been on sale that often before.

Whats the difference in the Fall out packages, any that contain all the games and DLC?

GOTY and Ultimate editions have all of the dlc.

Both GOTY and Ultimate Edition deals are incredible, especially FO3 for £3.74, you get 5 pieces of dlc for that totaling what has to be an additional 20-30 hours plus of content at least.
