Someone else mentioned a USB mounting app too, anyone recall the source? I connected my OTG cable on stock 4.1.1 and it didn't register at all so I imagine an app is required for this. Works fine on my S3 though.

You need to be rooted and have StickMount installed to get USB mounting.

Root is underway as soon as this MTP transfer finishes :D

Stickmount, that's the one thanks!

ok so got mine today these are just my quick thoughts,

So my previous tablets are the ipad1 and HP touchpad, I always liked the 10 inch form factor and always thought 7 was too small, my first impression was that i made a mistake getting this as it just felt too small, after 30 minutes of use i quickly changed my mind and now im loving the portability of this thing. Its very easy to hold in the hand and feels like a very expensive product.

I was surprised at how heavy it was as i was excpecting it to feel lighter, Screen looks nice although possibly colours don't have that POP that im use to (One X owner) viewing angles are superb and all around the screen is more than adequate.

The nexus feels extremely smooth i cant feel any lag whats so ever, Web browsing is very good and i could happily use this over my desktop

The form factor is perfect for games, 10 inch tablets always felt a bit awkward when playing games but the 7 leaves enough real estate to accurately control your games. Check out Dead trigger that uses special effects in the Tegra 3, looks amazing

cant say im a huge fan of chrome as it takes up too much real estate imo

mine arrived in perfect condition thankfully, I odnt know bout you but using the Nexus 7 just makes me never want to buy another non nexus device again, Jelly bean is superb

im now thinking 10 inch isnt the size for me but i still think 7 is just on the small size, The 7.7 samsung tab (or even the 8.9) would be ideal but not at the cost difference, its hard to grumble for £189

Ah similar thoughts as myself then, glad I wasn't alone!

Cyanogen on this will be the ticket, either that or AOKP. Should be fairly simple process since it's a Nexus device :p

My second order came today, a second 8GB. I ordered it for my sister. The speaker is faulty. It's very distorted compared to mine.

I rang Google on the 0800 number and after 45 mins got through to someone. He explained because it's a fault, the Google tech team have to get in contact with me. He did warn this could take a while due to the demand of the N7.

If this takes a while, I'll want some sort of compensation.
