*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

Just got mine seems perfect so far, screen is level with bezel, no dead pixels or back light bleed, no random dents and the speaker is great. And also working fine with my WiFi.

Hmmm been using mine all night comparing back and forth with the S3 reading magazines, zooming etc etc. There's a noticeable increase in visible content on the N7 due to compatible apps seeing it as a tablet and thus scaling accordingly. exPDF Editor being one of them. Browser wise though ICS+ on my S3 shows more content at the same zoom level compared to Chrome on the N7.

Really liking ezPDF but one thing has hit me this morning (expected? lol...), that the S3 actually does everything I want to do just fine and while the N7 will take the battery hit off my S3 from reading comics and magazines, it was more of an unneeded impulse buy.

I need to figure out more ways to make use of it, my Touchpad went down the same road and I was hoping that the N7 would side that away due to being more portable but not any worse on screen resolution.

Hmm what to do!

In other news, the screen on lowest brightness is very nice on the eyes at night especially reading books. Text is very clear.

Does anyone know if Google are dispatching using 1 day shipping instead of 2? I read due to the delays that they were using 1 day shipping.

Mine was dispatched yesterday by TNT using 'Express' delivery.

Will it come today?

Yea, mine did mate... Although I had to go to work and missed it.

Mine was an impluse buy and I realised that I really didn't need another tablet and cancelled. You've used two tablets already so you won't find any new uses for this one. If I was in your shoes I'd be selling it asap.

yes i can't think of anyone really *needing* a tab if they have a good smart phone unless you travel shed loads... its a non a essential. but hey if you can afford it enjoy it.

Did Kreeeeeee ever enlighten us about the click to call support thing? I simply refuse to sit on a phone for 30mins+

There's no sitting on the phone waiting.
I mentioned this near the beginning of the thread: good service and helpful I found.

Aye that's the thing, I don't mind paying for stuff I will make ample use of like the S3, in fact I'm so pleased with it that even if the Nexus 5 are better than it, I wouldn't really be willing to part with it any more and it's largely down to the ROM community!

The Touchpad was a £400 tablet that I got during the fire sale so a bit of a bargain that I couldn't pass up on but I ended up not using as much due to its bulk so sold it without making any loss (Gumtree FTW!).

I thought maybe this would allow me to offload all reading tasks from the S3 and while on the whole it does, realising that the S3 does it right anyway and if you have a phone like the S3 then the need to offload isn't really needed anyway due to how good it is - I realise this now having used it all night and morning, it's more convenient whipping the 4.7" S3 out than it is turning on a 7" tablet.

I guess I had to experience it first maybe?

Thing is, I want to keep it, it's cool, it feels cool and it will always have the latest Android OS! but at the same time I have no need to keep it, does that make sense? :p

Argh I don't know what to do!

If I didn't get the S3 and still had the S2 then the decision would be a no brainer on keeping the N7.

So 48 hours on and still no cancellation email or sign of a refund from the sleeping giant. At the forefront of technology and at the back for customer service. Methinks (hopefully) that they’ll learn a lot of lessons from this!

So you will have a sniff of the latest OS update but at the end of the day that is just bragging rights amongst fellow geeks. Your SGS43 will have the update a month later. :p

You already know what to do. Sell it and wait for the next one or buy something that you will enjoy and use. It's not a difficult choice! A real man doesn’t need the forums help to make up his mind. :p:D

Well if you want to sell it I will buy off you.

Hmm I'll make a decision by 4PM today! A friend of mine has enquired last night but I'm not sure if he's definitely wanting one.

I will keep you in mind MrZippo and follow up later today!

Seems legit ¬_¬

BTW, I streamed 1080P last night, they were my own bluray rips of Planet Earth using H264-High profile and AC3 audio. Streamed flawlessly in BSPlayer and seeked fine.

Ok thanks, just let me know, I definitely want it if your friend doesn't but not at a silly inflated price, but we can discuss that if you do decide to sell.

At this rate I'll offer to buy someones perfect Nexus 7 for a price they can't refuse.

Mine's not for sale but I proved to myself I am that t****r, I had it put on a flat!!! inspection bench and looked at it through a big angle poise magnifying glass with a very bright light, Zero raise in the plane or gap in the bezel, one more thing to tell there's way more dust on your screen than you think.
