I "has" got me an Audi :)

I just did a 100mile journey on weekend

i shall check the computer out to see what it has pulled so far.

46 mpg is good!!!

Cruise control is a pretty sad omission.
My old £1K SRI Astra had it as standard (comes to all SRI's) so it's pretty sad to see a decently equipped A4 without one.
But the car looks very tidy, enjoy that fella!

Thanks. Its not that great for a diesel. My mothers B6 would managed well over 50 on a run. Its just that folk say the petrol is really good on fuel but I've no first hand experience of this. The diesel is quite quick but its in such a narrow window it either feels like a rocket or a damp squib.

I think the fact that my 2.0 TFSI A6 will do 32-34 MPG typically on a mix of town and country roads, and over 40 MPG on a motorway run is what made me not care about having a diesel.

What was the old car you traded in?

in her glory
she covered me 60k miles
never broken down once

felt sad seeing her go but my new car is amazing :)

Because you said it has 220BHP...

Only the DTM model had the 220PS (216BHP) version of the 2.0TFSI engine.

okay in that case maybe my car isnt 220BHP and it is more 150-200
how do I even find out for sure?

either way much more than my last car which was 5bhp lol
.

Just tell everyone it has 220bhp anyway, 99% of the population will just believe you.

Gahahaha, how can you buy a car without even knowing what power it has ?!?!?!?!?!?!

Did you even look at what you were buying?

That IMO is inexcusable..

It's 'cos it's an Audi S Line, innit 'bruv so I 'ad to 'ave it.

Being serious, I think your insurance company would be interested in what is under the hood.

Just throwing a curve ball in here, crazy idea, but, user manual?

Awesome magnitude of upgrade, though - did they even give you anything for trading that in? :)

Because not everyone cares about figures and he just likes the way it drives perhaps?

Maybe in the same way not everyone gives a **** about cruise control?

I like these a lot and this thread made me look up the DTM effort, want

Not knowing the engine output of a car you have bought is like buying a house without knowing how many bedrooms it has. It's a pretty fundamental characteristic of the thing and a major part of the purchasing decision.

I dont agree, I used to sell cars and most couldnt give a toss what the power output of the engine was

Your average customer couldnt care, I agree, but then your average customer doesn't spend 15 months scouring the country for a particular car. But then why would your average 'I don't care' customer purchase a 2 litre turbocharged Audi? If you don't care, why pay extra for it.

It isn't the depth of the ocean that counts What
Matters most is the motion of the ocean
And this motion in the audi feels great!

People buying shopping trolley - you have a point.

People buying a 200 bhp premium brand 'performance' saloon they spent 15 months researching/hunting down - you dont have a point.

Edit: doh, just paraphrased Fox :(. Great minds and all that...
