If you are using a sniper scope, i.e. 8x and above then they can see your scope reflection light clear as day through smoke, same with the laser. It is one of my favourite methods of killing snipers, especially on Metro. If you are using less than 8x then it probably is a glitch/hack or sensor spotting.

Same happened to me.


Just 400 kills for assault, 250 for Engineer, so I'll be able to get my KDR up a bit.

Good to know, of course lasers dont go through smoke or shouldnt afaik. Ive noticed similar though
 
I RARELY use any high mag scopes because the glint gets you killed, instantly.

I regularly kill snipers at long range with assault rifles/SMGs/Carbines in single shot using scope glint alone.

Do not see the point of lasers at all either, maybe in softcore with crosshairs but totally no need in hardcore.

Earlier this week it was the Aug that was "broken" and was just giving premium players a way of paying to win.

But how can that be when the broken gun is the M16, the gun everybody has be default ? And what of the f2000 what of the AEK ?

Why do people find it so hard to accept that the "assault" class, (you know the guy whose sole job is just to shoot people and heal / revive fellow infantrymen) has the best weapons ? That's the point of the assault class, it's best at killing people
 
I don't understand the issue with weapons, I just don't see it. I don't kill more people with certain guns or get killed more often by others.

I perform best with the weapons I like the most irrespective of their damage ratings, accuracy or otherwise.

To think some people think the game is unplayable because of 1 weapon seems like nothing but hyperbole.

You definitely need to pick the right weapon for the right map/type of game but I definitely find it easier to rack up kills with certain weapons over others of the same type.

And when you start and look at what people are getting top kills with, it's always the same old list.

I still haven't got my pp-2000 to 100 kills yet cause everytime I play with it it's like trying to kill somebody with a peashooter even when you get the drop on them as they kill you with an AUG,scar, M4, L86 etc.
