*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

You need to get the hacked APK to obtain it and get the free $10, and then it's basically impossible to top it up. (Need a US address)

Until it officially launches in the UK, it's not really worth worrying about.

You also need to be rooted and push the .apk file to system/apps

It's not impossible to top at all you have to use a third party service to do it though, and risky as google may block use of the hacked version at anytime and you'd lose your credit.

Great, sound has stopped working on mine. Got it to go on holiday next week and its broken. Was working fine last night, just picked it up to have a play and no sound on anything. Any ideas?

Have you tried rebooting?

Thinking of buying FF3 with my Google credit before I send it back. Anyone know if I bought another tablet (non Nexus 7), would it be available to play?

If it's compatible with the device then yes, it's linked to your Google account, not the device.

So in theory, if I log into any android device, I should have £15 credit? I'll try it on my phone. I just thought the credit was tied to your account and the Nexus 7.

Funny, mine has been plugged in and charging since half one today, it's now about 3 hours and 40 minutes later and it's only at 57% and no, I've not been using it, it's been in sleep mode the whole time other than when I just checked it's charge state.

The credit is tied to activating the Nexus 7, but once it's on your account you can spend it on any device as far as I know, either way any apps/games bought on the Nexus 7 will be downloadable on any other Android device you use that account with.
