Started training again after a two year break last week, did my legs on Friday. Literally have not been able to walk for last two days.

Is there a disadvantage / anything wrong with working out (weight training, mainly) late night - around 10pm?

Cutting is a pain, trying to get the balance of carbs and everything right - but think I've just about got the levels nailed.

the real question - are people happy doing cardio after legs on leg days? I'm half tempted to stick in about 20 minutes or so at the end of a leg session, as I want to try and do cardio at least 5 times a week. I'm usually on 45 minutes a time, but figure that's not going to happen after heavy squatting if I'm being realistic.

Personally, i just hit the xtrainer for 40 minutes before my session regardless if it's legs or not.

Cutting is a pain, recomp is even harder you have to really get those macros nailed down, but it's my preferred method.

Nothing worse than losing hard earned muscle on a diet it sucks.

Ice & Dom - could I come and see you too?

I might be able to do Thursday this week if you are about then?

The main problem is that I think my ACL is causing me problems due to incorrect foot positioning when squatting but I'd like you to see my lifts in person.

Back of the queue!

Only kidding...:p

That's bluddy impressive. Makes me feel like an absolute chump though.

On another note, those who do HIIT. When do you do yours?

I'm trying to fit it in at the end of my weight sessions but I feel absolutely drained and don't have the energy for it, to the point sometimes where I feel sick.

Worth mixing it into my cardio days or is it not a good thing to mix steady state with HIIT?

Just do it on cardio days, it's cardio after all. After training your muscles are tired and begging for food, why make your body go even more into a catabolic state.

Whenever really, but be fresh when you do, especially for Tabata.

It's fantastic (if you do it properly) and the whole workout including 5mim warm up/down takes under 15mins!

I do cardio every session currently.

Come at me

If you've got enough left in you to do a decent level of cardio after weights then you've been lifting like a girl! After a proper session I can hardly do much I'm soo knackered!

Well tonight was a pretty good Dead lift session :)

Week 3 of 5/3/1

5 × 65
5 × 82.5
3 × 97.5
5 × 122.5
3 × 140
1+ × 155 Managed 5 reps :D

Decided to try and see what I could do

1x170 Came up much easier than I expected :O

1x180 Woooo! New PB! Really happy.

Stuck a belt on for this because by this time I was exausted. My form was off I think but isn't that normal for such a high weight? My upper back was rounded a little from the weight on my shoulders but my legs and lower back felt strong.

Finished off with...

10 × 85
10 × 85
10 × 85
10 × 85
10 × 85

Then dragon flags 1 set then another 3 sets of negitives gosh these are hard!
Hanging leg raises 3x10
Planks and side planks 3x10
Side bends with 20kg in 1 hand 5x10

Totally exausted but over the moon! Now If I can controll my diet a little better and lose 2kg I will be 15kg off 3xBW! :D:D:D

Thursday might be possible, but I've got a bit of a busy week.

I'll let you know.
