Why did you choose your current motor?

Manufacturer/Model/Year: 2004 Ford Mondeo ST220
Engine: 3.0 V6 24V. 232BHP
Purchase/current miles: 54/84k
Trim Level: ST220 (Most things as standard)
Justification for ownership: Wanted a daily driver with reasonable running costs that was both comfortable, reliable, well equipped, fast and fun to drive. I assessed many cars, and this fitted the bill in the best way.
Happy with the car?: Yep. :)

Manufacturer/Model/Year: Vauxhall VX220 2003
Engine: 2.2
Purchase/current miles: 32k 47k
Trim Level: -
Justification for ownership: It's a huge mount of fun when you're in the mood
Happy with the car?: the rest of the time it is noisy and cold.

Manufacturer/Model/Year: Mazda 3 '05
Engine: 1.6
Purchase/current miles: 49000/65000
Trim Level: Ts2
Justification for ownership: First car, was available, local, in good nick and cheap
Happy with the car?: Very, wish it had a bit more grunt but it's perfect for what I need.

Manufacturer/Model/Year: Alfa Romeo MiTo
Engine: 1.4 turbo 155
Purchase/current miles: 39000/40000
Trim Level: veloce
Justification for ownership : mg was dying and i wanted a faster hatchback and something that was a bit diffrent. Fit the bill ideally.
Happy with the car?: Yes enjoy driving it and love the colour especially the red tint to it even if it is a pain to keep clean. Media player is **** though and fussy as hell with what it reads. Nevermind that'll be coming out after warranty expires.

Manufacturer/Model/Year: 2006 Mini Cooper S Checkmate (R53)
Engine: 1.6 Supercharged
Purchase/current miles: 33,000/38,000
Trim Level: Checkmate (LSD, limited edition paint and interior, xenons, Harman Kardon sound system).
Justification for ownership : I wanted something fun and quick, this fitted the bill perfectly.
Happy with the car?: Yes. It probably uses more fuel than it should but it's such a fun car to drive. I don't think I will ever get bored of the sound and feel of the supercharger. I plan to fit a reduced supercharger pulley and Milltek exhaust system soon which should make it even more fun. :)

Manufacturer/Model/Year: 2006 BMW 335i
Engine: 3.0l Twin Turbo - 320bhp
Purchase/current miles: 32,000/42,000
Trim Level: Good! iDrive, uprated HiFi, bluetooth, cream leather, heated seats, electric memory seats, climate control, front and rear parking sensors (with radar on screen),
Justification for ownership : Loved my E46 330i. Wanted something with a bit more power. Found it!
Happy with the car?: Very. I love it, so much so that i can't think of anything that is going to come along that would be worthy to replace it. What can replace a 3.0l straight-6 twin turbo with Milltek exhaust? V8 only - and i'm not going there with fuel at 1.32 a litre! Only annoyance is the £450 tax a year, and warranty for another £400. Will pay for the warranty for one more year in November, but after that i think i'll take on the cost of running myself. Also want to get rid of the Bridgestone's soon and get something decent and non runflat to replace them!

Manufacturer/Model/Year:BMW M3 1994
Engine:3.0 s50b30
Purchase/current miles:160,000 (ive added about 200 miles, including driving it home)
Trim Level:M3
Justification for ownership:i really fancied one
Happy with the car?: over the moon

MPG is epic. has barely cost me a penny in fuel. the car was ace in the snow, absolutely rock solid in the snow we had earlier this year as it has been on axle stands the entire time. starts first time, everytime. 100% out of 12 start ups is still 100%.

That's good, I was looking for a car for getting about this coming winter. M3 in the snowy hills it is, even more efficient then Clarkeys 328i ! I can leave it on axle stands for the rest of the year too!

Manufacturer/Model/Year: Mini Cooper s (R53) 2004
Engine: 1.6 supercharged, plenty of mods to keep fools at bay
Purchase/current miles: 39000 / 42000
Trim Level: Chilli
Justification for ownership: Smiles for miles, the nearest thing to a real Cooper S, with added performance boost.
Happy with the car?: All great, except the fuel when I press the go faster pedal a little to hard.

Make: Toyota mr2 gt t-bar 1995
Engine: 2.0 3sgte 240ps.
Justification: wanted a gran turismo car. Okay my corolla was in it too but you actually use the mr2in the MR events. Why did i buy this n? The jdm sticker on the rear bumper sold it me.

Happy with car? On a good day when its not raining and pot holes aren't whacking my alignment out - got to be one of the best drives out there. ( sub supercar status). You can't beat the whistle of the intake/turbo over your shoulder and the roar of jdm single rear can that rattles door knockers at low speed lol.

I really miss mine - tempted to get another next year but the rust has started to hit them pretty hard now, I took the single exit off mine mind you as it was stupidly loud when I was taking it to work at 6am

Manufacturer/Model/Year: Honda Civic 2004
Engine: 2.0l (1998cc) 16 valve DOHC i-VTEC inline 4 cylinder, multi point fuel injection K20A2, 200ps (197bhp) @7400rpm. Naturally Aspirated.
Purchase/current miles: 61500/68650
Trim Level: Type R (AC)
Justification for ownership: Wanted one since I first saw them before I could drive. Wanted a hot hatch for around £5k that wasn't French and had a good reliability track record. It was a well considered purchase and took me ages to find a suitable example.
Happy with the car?: Its brilliant, not investing more money into it now though as I plan on getting an S2000 next year. I will be upset to see it go but sadly I cannot afford both :(

Manufacturer/Model/Year: Toyota, Supra TT, 1994
Engine: 2JZ-GTE, three litre sequential twin tubro straight six.
Purchase/current miles:96k/98k
Trim Level: UKDM
Justification for ownership: Always wanted one, previously owned an MKiii 1JZ and having swapped from it to a V8 I realised I much prefer the power delivery of a turbo to an NA so saved up and managed to bag one of these quite cheap from a private seller who didn't really know much about them, result.
Happy with the car?: Yes, very yes, interior has aged better than pretty much any 90's car and is still better than some new ones, exterior looks teh sex, it has all the toys you need in a GT car and I can drive 300 miles in it without tiring, love it.

Manufacturer/Model/Year: VW Golf, 2002
Engine: 2.3 V5
Purchase/current miles: 70k
Trim Level: V5
Justification for ownership: Wanted a hatch with a big engine and auto box. Golf's rear seats drop right down making the usable space pretty damn good.
Happy with the car?: MPG is better than the 330d I had and its nice having a similar powered but petrol engine.

Manufacturer/Model/Year: Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2011
Engine: 2.0L (160PS MZR-2.0L straight four)
Purchase/current miles: 0/14,500
Trim Level: SportTech - Sports Suspension and all the toys bar sat-nav :) (heated seats are great on a topless winter drive)
Justification for ownership:
The ratio of running cost to fun is pretty unique. I don't need a larger car and having the convertible is great in the summer. Its just fun to drive :)
Happy with the car?:
Very, the only thing I regret is how much I end up driving it in on motorways and in traffic. I sort of want to get a second car to do the commute in but then I'd never drive my MX-5 :(

Manufacturer/Model/Year: Ferrari F40 1992
Engine: 2.9 TT
Purchase/current miles: 11/12,000
Trim Level: Non
Justification for ownership:
Young, single with no need for more than 2 seats, an Iconic car, the first of a handfull that I wanted to have owned.

Happy with the car?:
Yes.. It's a piece of history and I'm lucky enough to be a custodian of it for now. I'm sure it will compliment the future garage options well.

Manufacturer/Model/Year: Jaguar XJ Sport 98
Engine: 3.2 v8 with lpg
Purchase/current miles: 140,000 / 144,000
Trim level: cream leather, all electric usual top end jag spec
Justification for ownership: i drive 25k a year and needed something enjoyable and cheap to drive and you can beat a v8 on gas for that. never had a problem with it. I love leather interiors and automatic gearboxes. Everyone loves it, especially when i throw them the keys. I don't loose a penny in depreciation and its worth as much in parts as its current sale value so i dont have to worry about it if it ever breaks.

Happy with the car?: its good for my commute and i have other cars to get my thrills from.
