no gtx 660 till august?

Without giving too much away Gibbo, are these cards going to be north of £250 for non-reference cards, or are they going to be closer to current 7870 pricings?

TT is well known for doing nvidia`s dirty laundry, showing best case scenario for nvidia using cherry picked benches, old drivers (12.4 really?) and most importantly, leaving out the latest and most played games is just ridiculous.

Am of the opinion, they wont be cheaper than the 7870 and in some cases 7950 ;)

Am surprised nvidia are even bothering and same goes to AMD for the 7990, although a case could be made from AMD, for people wanting superior/unrivaled Compute power

Edit: not really worth waiting for the left overs (680/670) cut down version 666 in Aug/Oct, you might as well wait anther few months and get the next gen, or buy the 78xx/7950 series now. not worth it when you have closer to a few months before it gets replaced by a much cheaper and better card, thats going by 28nm yields getting much better in 2013

I don't believe some of the cards failed to run the benchmark because they applied some AA.

It's worrying that the 660 is loosing out to the 580 though, maybe now we have another enemy besides vram...memory bus.

If this card is priced well enough, I'd be picking one of these up pretty rapidly. Anything will make a difference to my 5770 at the moment!

I had the same dilemma as I''ve got a 5770 as well. I picked up a 7870 in the recent sale on here - but only time will tell if my decision was right :/

Gibbo said it was around the same price as the 7950, so expect £260 as a absolute minimum. Looks a decent card for 1080p gaming.

Looks like overclockers knew this review was coming out so they tried to sell as much 7xxx cards as possible yesterday :D

who in their right mind would pay £260 for this card? The gtx670 is more value for money.

Well the 670 is priced around 15% more if my guess is anywhere near. Whether it is worth it or not is down to the individual. Think I will wait for better/more believable reviews before making up my opinion.
This review has the 670 matching a 7970 In metro 2033 so I am already suspicious.

For me it is a balance between performance, value and usability for the next 2 years. I don't want to squander my money so I have waited it out to see what NV offer versus the already released AMD range. I also don't want to be bit in the arse having bought something now, and they then release a better product a few months later which has bells and whistles on it at the same price.

It is an art to buying graphics cards without either throwing money at it or getting egg on ones face.

I'm always suspicious of advance reviews, especially seeing as products can vary between regions, markets and retailers

tbh I didn't like the review especially since they started of like a child throwing their toys out of the pram. I'll wait for more reliable reviews, but if it's on par with the 7950/70 already then AMD will need to respond and I'll need to sell my existing cards :p

I'm shocked it has 2gb VRAM, since early rumours quoted 1.5gb.
