just got a puppy :D

What is it these days with dogs in cages? Growing up having dogs parents never use to have cages for them.

Because dogs love to have something which they can hide away in, a cage is somewhere they feel safe.

You'll find dogs will sit under tables and chairs, or anything they can get underneath, that's just their way of making them selves feel safe.

You'd think with owning a dog being a 10-15 year committment, costing anything from a few hundred to a few thousand pounds along the way, people would actually do some research before getting the animal.

No wonder so many end up abandoned when it seems beyond the owners to look into the answers to even the most basic of questions they should have thought of beforehand.

yes i have done the research and yes i have wanted a dog for months now....i was asking advice to make sure i am doing it right which i am and the blanket tht i use has worked a treat....i worry tht i am doing it wong or im missing sumit and im not he is loved from the full family (not so mych by the cats haha)

I got excited about seeing the puppy, with a big *DAWWWW* ready, and nothing. Thread does not deliver :(

Jcb33.

I have a black lab she is now 13 , and still crazy ! I have twin boys who are just 1 yr old . One of them is deaf and she is always next to him , and sleeps next to his bed . How she picked up on that he is deaf i will never know  . Plus we kinda found out my G/F was pregnant because she wouldn't leave her alone and kept sniffing her belly.

Enjoy your lab it will be your shadow and best friend for a long time .:)
