I'm not sure really, I've never had an issue flashing with Odin.

Shouldn't the ID:COM part be lit up if you have the phone connected?

Cant help on the rooting help, but sounds like you got it sorted, but im just chipping in here and saying to not use the royal mail's simply drop recycle service, i was in a similar situation a few weeks ago and they seem to offer the best price, my phone was in great condition as it had been cased its whole life and had a screen protector, when i sent it off, i got an email back when they recieved it saying the screen was scratched and there was scratches along the back of the case. I replied back with a strongly worded email that there is no way the phone was in that condition when it left my hands. and ask for them to return it. got another email swiftly afterwards saying they would happily return the phone for a £15 postage and admin fee. Utter scam

so what your saying is asda is ****

TBH i was just venting my anger at royal mail. ive had no experiences with Asda, but thought i would put out there my experiences with Royal mail

I found a better company.

Fonebank.co.uk offering me £201. i can drop it into their offices as well and pick up if not happy with grading/qoute.

cex offering £75 for my bb 9320

so all in all £275 toward my new iphone 5 when its released.

Sent my S2 to ASDA rooted just last week, paid up fine, no problems. Phone was in great condition, wrapped it in bubble wrap and paid for it to go insured.
