Ex Mrs has tattood my 17 yr old son

I know what people think of my comment, but it is NOT ok to tattoo your own 17 year old son.

This. It's understandable to tattoo a 17 year old who gave you a fake ID, but to tattoo your own son, knowing its not acceptable In the eyes of the law is just stupid.

But there is no difference in maturity between being 17 3/4 than 18.

If he thinks it's a brilliant idea now he still will when he's 18.

really, so 3 months of thinking about getting something done wouldn't give an opportunity to change your mind. its not a maturity thing. I would have said the same if it had been a 21 year old that decided out of nowhere to go get one. its something you have to really want, not just impulse do.

Someone at work got a tattoo, again a quick spur of the moment thing.

It said "Team Barry" because him and several people at work decided to form a team...Called "Team Barry"

I'm sure he thought it was fantastic at the time. ALthough we all thought he was a complete retard.

Anyways, what made the story awesome. Is the fact he was sacked a week later. :D

Huge letters on his Forearm too. Oh how I chuckled. I bet the regret sank in quickly

I pointed out that it was illegal (Via text as he wouldn't say where he was once he realised I was p***ed) He replied saying his mum said it was ok at 14 yrs if your related to the tattooist and 17 with parental permission.

If he'd have come up with the idea when he was 18 then he'd have still done exactly the same and then there would be nothing anyone could whine about, the fact he's 17 3/4 just gives the OP an opportunity to rage at his mother, otherwise there would be absolutely nothing he could do.

And the law's.

thanks I was about to say that.

ohhh no, the law says so. I bet neither of you have ever broke the law have you? never drove a little too fast? downloaded something you shouldn't?

it's 3 months, it's his mum. There are more important things to be concerned with in life and like I said, it's his mistake to make :)

Makes me laugh that kids can get mopeds on the road from what, 16 or 17, a situation where they could kill someone but people actually care if someone gets a tat 3 months under age :(

there is nothing the OP can do now, its happened  I would still be peeved if my sons decided to get tattoos without thinking about it for a reasonable time first. I think the underage thing is just something that fuels it, but im sure the OP would still be annoyed if his son was 18 and did it spur of the moment.

would you like the fellows of OcUK go round and dish out some justice? Or would you rather not air your dirty laundry in public? I really wonder why people bleat about their lives over the internet like this.

Typical OCuk response. Dont know why morons like you even reply

no offence, but do you treat your son like a retard all the time? he's a young adult, he can drive on the roads, smoke, have sex but can't have a tattoo. The laws are stupid!

I think this is less about his age and more for a reason to bitch about the ex in that typical bitter divorcee style!

there is nothing the OP can do now.

He still has the opportunity to cause repercussions for the son's mother if he wants to be that petty, but he still would have done the same if we would have come up with this idea in 3 months, so it'd be a pretty pathetic power move on behalf of mattyg if he did as such.

He never broke the law his mum did. I'm not going argue with you on this, tattoo each others rudders for all I care.

The word retard being used, you sure are an intellectual fellow.
