8150

The 3570K is only £5 more, go for that. Slightly better IPC and PCI-E 3.0.
I have to agree...despite being a i5 2500K user. I've seen benckmarks between the two CPUs, and while in general FPS games there's little difference in performance, but in games that are heavily CPU intensive like Shogun 2, the overlocked i5 3570K can manage around 30fps, while i5 2500K only managed around 25-26fps for the same scene.

With that said, if you are thinking of trying to pick up a i5 2500K chip off auction site for around £120 or less, then it might worth considering comparing to the i5 3570K; but at new retail prices of only £5-£10 difference, I would pick the i5 3570K without thinking twice.

I wouldn't be surprised if the price of Bulldozer tumbles a few more times between now and Piledriver, AMD will have to do something to try and shift the excess stock.

I bet they sell it through pre-builts and to be people who arent computer knowledgeable. Since it wont sell well to the tech market.

cheers for the ib tip didn't realise they were so much better and was worried about the internal TIM horror stories :) 3570k sounds like the way to go :)
