Do you miss school?

I miss the hilarity of some lessons, but otherwise, not at all. Uni is better and I'd rather be in full time employment than that even.

I want a studio flat with underground parking and a full time job where I wear a suit. I want to live alone or with a girlfriend. I'm the best kind of person :p

No, my schooldays were probably the worst time of my life.........

Same. Bullying and various things. I don't even have much of a good memory of my school time except random bits.

I miss other things about being young, like friends being close and not so much getting in the way of life and being able to enjoy people you value(d).

yeah i do miss school but at the time i couldnt wait to leave it.

it's a natural function of the human brain to give everyone "rose tinted vision" of their past. it's not uncommon for people to miss "happy times" that they don't realise never existed for them

Still hang out with loads of good friends, so in that respect no.

Weirdly whenever I daydream about impressing people for whatever reason, it's always back at school. Weird.

Forever 16 \o/

It's funny how the views contrast in here. Unsurprisingly and understandably those who didnt enjoy it would rather not go back. I would go back, I'd do so many things differently. I was terribly shy around girls back then (sixth form changed that one). I let a right stunner slip through my fingers, still cringe at the thought of how i was now. I loved the freedom and lack of responsibility. Football for 4 hours a day everyday, so many friends and the laughs they bought. Dont get me wrong i enjoy what i have now but I'd love the chance to go back even not knowing what i do now but believing the adults when they say it can be a great time in your life. I'd have taken so many more of the opportunities thrown at me.

Yup I'm one of those with fond memories from school.

I miss it, what's not to miss?
- you didn't work
- you didn't pay rent
- parents did your food & your clothes
- you only spent 6 hours a day for school
- there's no direct consequence of failure at school (ie you wouldn't be 'sacked' unless you did something incredibly stupid, like punch several teachers) and your performance did not affect your standing
- you were around literally dozens of people every day with the potential greater than ever to meet new and exciting people
- you could do anything you want with little to no responsibility

So yeah, I miss school. People who are in school who moan about it all the time really have no idea what the rat race is like once they've finished. School was heavenly in its simplicity.

I don't miss school or Uni at all. They're part of your life and you enjoy them or endure them, depending on how things work out, and then you move on to something else.

I'm always slightly wary of those who miss those 'gool old school days'. Friends of ours have a friend like this and he's hopelessly socially inept and broken in a number of alarming ways and often talks about missing his school days and the people he knew then. He's mid thirties which is very depressing :(

To be completely unrelated and off topic, I just cracked up in the office at your latest sig featuring Dolan. Bravo sir.

School not so much but I would definately do the 3 years of my apprenticeship again! They were awesome!

I had a amazing time...but I know I have rose tinted glasses on.

Wish I could relive it in some respects; the facilities/opportunities were amazing, but most of the time I just cba. :-(
