I bought one last year, 325 feet per second with a 150lb draw. I found it on my doorstep when I got back from work - I believe you have to be over 16 and sign for delivery but in this case the delivery man had not bothered!!

I guess they aren't illegal as there is no history of anyone going postal with one, even if you could!!

A handgun is 'legal' if you have the correct licence.

A crossbow would still be classed as an offensive weapon if you were carrying it around on the street.

Not something we will see urban gangs carrying about any time soon I'm sure.

The thing is that you won't get off a shot before someone call the police if you walk down the street. Even if you did, you'll be tackled before you reload.

Higher kill rate with a regular bow and arrow.
