***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

EDIT:

Just looking over ALL the screenshots instead of just the dialer........... and the calendar, camera UI etc. are still the same (more or less) for the UI/layout!!!! They have only really changed the colour scheme/theme! :p

Yup - still looks better than stock TW - and a I always prefer a background (blackground?) to white.

Main thing is all the menu's and pop ups and status bar are all ICS themed. Rest can be done via apps.

Right then, i'm gonna order the T-Mobile £26/month deal tomorrow. Are there any sorts of cases or whatever i need with it?

One more thing. I'm currently on Orange but i ordered it through mobiles.co.uk, do i ring Orange up and cancel with them, or do i just ring mobiles.co.uk up and ask them about my upgrade? T-Mobile and Orange are the same now aren't they, so will i keep my number?

You'll have to call orange and ccancel with them first. They only share a signal. You'll also have to get your number transferred before you cancel.

Not sure with cases, I haven't picked mine yet. Check out the accessories thread.
I've just ordered the blue on the same deal, you get 2 backs with the phone. The normal blue and an Olympic team TB one. Handy if you haven't got a case yet as I'm using mine with the team gb atm incase I scratch it.
26 quid... surely the phones costing £100 ?
Nope, it works out at 22.75 a month after cashback too. An extra 30 off if you use topcashback or quidco too!

How'd i use it with quidco considering it'll all be an upgrade via a phone rather than through the website?

I'm a bit confused by it all because i've never upgraded a phone before.

Call Orange and request your PAC, then go through Quidco or topcashback to mobiles.co.uk and order it just as if it's a whole new contract, when you get the phone call tmobile cs and give them your PAC.
Job done, you'll keep your old number, your Orange contract will be cancelled, you'll have a shiny new phone and your £30 cashback.

Voda released i9300BULG2 recently, has a build date of 26/7 so it looks like it has every update in it (rolls in at around 92meg) if anyone is running stock.

Pretty minor update and pointless if your on 2.0 already. Its just one Android framework change. Plus increasing the threshold, doesn't affect the battery much at all.

So instead of downloading 700mb, you can just update using the below file ( copy into "system/framework"

Lowered Track skip timeout to 400ms
Lowered home button long press timeout to 100ms
