Spec me an office-friendly time-killer

I did no such thing

I ran really bloody fast and luck took me over. I fell immediately at the first drop on the other side, but I saw the top. Yes I did.
oh, i thought you completed the entire level. getting to the top of the first hill is super easy, its the second hill that gets me every time because my horse decides to levitate its front legs and give me no grip whatsoever

No, I've since made it most of the way up the 2nd, but I actually have work to do now (after 1.5 hrs with no calls!) so will have to try again tomorrow. Supposedly thurs and fri are dead here so will pursue your other suggestions then! Thanks chaps!

Is there anything you can do to make some kinda of money, I sure people can make money online by posting adverts or something just spam that?

Link building and data capturing. Anything that is boring you can usually make money from.

elance is a good site

I'm at work, it's dead, I can legitimately do whatever I want, provided I am: at my desk in case the phone rings, not using speakers/headphones, not rinsing the office bandwidth with gif pages. I also can't install anything (legitimately anyway).

I've scoured the depths of GD, flicked between FB and OcUK a thousand times, caught up with my fav webcomics, and made it over the hill in CLOP. What else can I do?

Buy some books? Buy a Kindle? Use the Kindle PC software?

Something like the "A Song of Ice & Fire" series will keep you busy for a while.

Read all of them (so long til the next one :( ). I think paper books might suit me best. Our manager suggested we keep games etc to a minimum in case IT check our traffic (most likely because it looks bad having 8 people playing Tetris at your desk more than anything else). Can't moan about a book though. We're picking up a big region next week so I suspect I only need a short term fix.

How about a series like Jack Reacher or Discworld?

[Edit]
Oh, missed the short term part :p

Maybe some biographies/autobiographies on some interesting people? I find travel ones the best :). Jupiter's Travels by Ted Simon for example
