***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

The interesting thing about that graph is that battery usage flattens out at the end where wifi has been turned on.

I know that if a phone is switching between 3G+ / 3G / 2G is uses up battery power as it scans and switches between the networks. I wonder if you are in a bad area so its been switching, then wifi was switched on, so it stopped ?

Be aware that this phone seems to drop the first 10% pretty quickly and then the depletion rate slows up somewhat.

Voda released i9300BULG2 recently, has a build date of 26/7 so it looks like it has every update in it (rolls in at around 92meg) if anyone is running stock.

Odd, OTA says no update available and Kies says I'm on the latest firmware, marked as LF1.
Its not even rooted..

It's seemed to me to be losing battery quickly whilst asleep - last night I swear it went from 35 to flat, no alarm this morning but fortunately the kids woke early and saved me from being late to work!

Seems like a problem with your signal, you might want to upgrade your radio firmware. The newest one currently is LG8.

Also your device doesn't seem to be deep sleeping much, so go into :

- "Accounts and Sync" turn off anything you don't need syncing.
- "Back up and reset" switch off backup
- Download " FastDormancy" and Disable Fast Dormancy.

You 2 will be the first to swap for one! :p

Well Robbo will just buy the black version and keep the blue version as well :p :D

Don't get why they didn't just release this colour at launch. Extremely stupid move not to.

Sorry but I don't buy it :p

100% brightness with 4 hours on screen time and still 49% left.............

Unless you have just kept it on a black screen for like the entire time, wifi and mobile data off as well etc. :p

 thats pretty awesome dude

rom/kernel used?

Stock.

Wifi, 3G, listening to a wifi radio station while I sleep on a night to. It was on charge for around 10 minutes this morning but that didn't do much.

Tomorrow however the battery will probably decide it wants a day off.

To put it simply, it is complete BS :p

If you had said like 30% screen brightness or something, no problem then, but 100% brightness at 4 hours on screen time spread across 2 days with 49% left is just not possible at all unless the screen was black the entire time.

Not even the RZR maxx has that kind of battery life and the one S most certainly doesn't get anywhere near that usage with 100% screen brightness (and the battery life for it is better overall compared to the GS 3)

It got a little bit of a charge on the morning, so probably say without that I'd be at around 20% now. I'm not lying, I have no reason to but I'm extremely surprised myself.

So you charged a third of the battery but didn't think it was worth mentioning? ;) :o

I don't get why people do things like this with battery life, it's rife.
