Unitednoobs are a community since bf2 Jared the guy in my squad used to play with them in bc2

Might have something to do with a certain Russian version being very cheap.
Anyway after having a few hours play time, the game is distinctly average IMO. The guns either kill in 2-3 bullets or none at all, character animation is janky and the gameplay even on 64 player deathmatch feels too slow paced for me. It's a bloody shame because there is no doubt the game is a beaut. However, that is all it has. Anyway it only cost me £13 to find out whether I liked it or not.

Is there a list of translations for the russian voices, particualrly death taunts? There's one that goes "something something something something RYE!!" or similar, intrigued to know what that says, assuming it is familiy friendly, probably not.

to be fair to Westie, there are some right noobs on the enemy team, that are nothing to do with the community that run the server

Hardcore does my head in as the game is full of campers humping corners just waiting for somebody to walk into their sights.

Agree, there can be quite a lot of these sort of players, waiting for the kills to fall into their laps rather than actually going to get them and risking a death. And to maybe capture a flag? Oh god no, they might get shot at!
I don't always come across this but it does seem quite a popular 'tactic'.

there are people who play hardcore properly. But there are so many more proper hardcore campers, just sat waiting kill farming in a hill or in some obscure place, than in normal mode.
If hardcore had a killcam, i'd play it. As then people wouldn't be able to hide and kill farm.

How exactly does your skill level get calculated per map? I mean I played a Team Deathmatch game last night, I was on the winning side. I didnt exactly play awesome but had a positive KDR. Checked the report and had a -210 skill rating! You'd think I'd been murdering children or something!

Your skill level is based on every interaction you have with a player. You start off with a base skill, every player you kill gains you points. If you kill somebody of much higher skill level than you, then your skill goes up by lots. Kill somebody of the same or lower skill, and it hardly goes up at all.
Conversely, get killed by a lower skilled player than you, and it goes down by a lot. Consistently get owned by that same low skilled player, and your skill can go down by the 100s in a single game. Getting killed by very highly skilled players results in little to no decrease in skill level however.
The problem with playing TDM is that its random. People appear from every corner, they spawn randomly behind you etc.. you can't help but die to people with lower skills. You went down by over 200 as you were getting consistently killed by the same group, or the same single low skilled players. look in your battlelog report and take a look at the opposition. If they are very low rank they will usually be very low skill.

I'm afraid "something something something something" is all you're likely to get. Have you played the game? The "RAI!" one is a fairly common death taunt, I'm now thinking it must be heavily laced with russian sarcasm if rai means paradise.

Lol, that was a team of noobs and noticed Westie had two other 100 star colonels on his side as well.
Come on Westie, you know you were playing low skilled players as even with your huge amount of kills and 11 deaths you still lost over 50 skill points
This made me laugh.
The animation in BF3 is second to none. It's absolutely STUNNING and makes every other FPS looks terrible.
BF3 animation is so good that any other FPS I pick up is wrecked from an animation point of view.
Even the reload of weapons externally is spot on, bolt action everything.
