Very interesting stuff, I read the article quickly and I'll get at the vid ASAP.
I've had cryotherapy drilled into me since childhood.

On the note of my chest the bump isn't as large this morning and a lot of pain and pressure is gone.

I did experience the largest most nerve wracking snap/crack in my life last night when I pushed my shoulders back and rubbed some biofreeze on.
Still feels a but tender and I can feel a tiny little dull ache.

I'm going to be studying from my desk today, I've been slouching all week on the bed and that certainly didn't help with this or my back. I
Noticed last night I have a habit or rolling my shoulders forward when slouching, it actually pulled on my tender spot when I pushed them back.

eating before cardio is an odd concept. I always fast for cardio

Same here, although since I do cardio at 3pm its after my lunch and I wouldn't be able to skip a meal lately :(


Going to go in for cardio today and see how my chest feels.
 
So, you only squatted what you could lift over your head? You should be able to do much more on the rack, hell if we didn't have a smith machine trying to get 90kg over my shoulders would be dangerous. :eek:

Anyway moving on, stopped the creatine since I think it's just unnecessary - Now I've dropped about 5kg lifting capacity in everything, sad times :(

Yea i tell you man, it was annoying lol, i would lift the 50kg up do an overhead press then lower it onto my back to squat, then lift it up and back down again, repeat 5 x , the power rack is so much better!

Can someone advise on this, i want to improve my leg strength for road cycling. Im still doing the 5 x 5, and after each set of squats i then do 10xdb lunges straight away, i find my legs are quite tired after the 5 set and like the routine, but is there any other exercise i could throw in after the lunges to really push them to the max?

Available equipment being dumb bells, power rack, barbell

UE that's a pretty big disparity between your deadlift and squat...

Lol yep, last cycle of naughty i did i barely squatted, ive only just recently really got me head round it been struggling with sets of 5 @ the 130 ish mark. And also my dead is heavily back dominant. I SLDL over 200 for reps. Need to get my squat in line to improve the form

I've only just started lifting. Probably been visiting the gym for about a month now. 5KG is 10% of what I bench. Personally I think being able to lift 10% more because you took a spoonfull of Creatine is quite impressive.

Of course it is entirely up to you regarding the creatine but the 5kg increase you lose in the difference could just as easy be maintained by forced ripping or machine. I suppose you either pays your money and takes the choice. I :)

Well, made it down to DW last night.

No idea why, but I was expecting the weights room to be a bit bigger going by the videos :p

Took me a while to get going, as all the squat racks were being used or they were empty but had no bars in them, so had to do some Goblet squats beforehand...One eventually became free so I did my sets in there after that.

SO many bench pressers last night, it's ridiculous. Is it always like that on Wednesdays LiE/Syla5? May have to move my bench day if so!

Only for a max i wouldnt be repping like that, form has come on some wound it back down to 150-160 range to rep strict. Think i will go between rounded and flat back heavy/light cycles. Ive read enough on rounded back lifting to know its not as black and white as it may appear first glance

There are spare bars standing up at the end of the dumbbell rack :)

It's bench press day everyday at a gym like DW, that and guns. I'm training deadlifts tomorrow, hopefully catch you there.

Aye, they were in use as well! Some one was doing some weird Squat/Land mine/push-press thing in the corner with one, dead weird.

But yeah, I'll be there tonight and Friday, so hopefully see you Friday.

What would you be training Saturday? As I may get up early and do some core work or something

Got to get the videos first mate. They feel good, just got to remember all of the queues I was shown.
 
Ahh okay fair game. I may pop up to make up for earlier this week, will see what plans are going on for the weekend.

I may move cardio / core to the weekend anyway, purely for time reasons I guess.
 
devlis you should pretty much be able to find a bar no matter how many monkeys are broing it up at the time. Also squat racks are pretty much always available.

Any change on being able to get down any earlier? I shall be there tomorrow after 4 as usual.

Oh and best days to do chest are tuesdays and thursdays...although not a much better then mondays and wednesdays lol

Seriously mate, the power rack (I think its that anyway) was freem but there was no bar in it, and every other bar was being used. There was the smith free (that doesn't move horizontally) but ugh, no thanks.

I should be there a bit earlier on Fridays as I've been told we finish at 4:15, so hopefully I can see you there :) But no joy yet, think the boss man needs to be asked but he's on holiday at the moment.

Makes so much sense it's silly :)

I'll do some light stretching of my pecs today and try some very light 2.5 or 5kg cable flies to see how it feels when stretching and contracting the area without putting pressure or strain on my sternocostal cartilage.

That article and interview fly in the face of everything I've studied, and I've my certification exam tomorrow as well haha. :D
 
Ok so a few weeks ago I signed up to a strongman event being held at the new gym I'm going to. Yesterday I got a lot of information on it and found out its quite a serious event, professional photographer, guy from the paper ect... There is going to me 24+ people competing at 3 different weight categories (Me being in the smallest#

Anyways I have no idea how to train/diet for this and I would really appreciate some helps and tips as I've seen that there is a few people on these forums that have done similar things. Just want to give myself the best possible chance. May even have a good chance of winning:#

Yesterday I tried out the log press for the first time and managed to get 70kg. Also tried the tire for 10 flips in a row but it nearly killed me! =P My dead lift is also 180kg atm. The farmers walk will be getting made and brought in next week.

My body weight is around 65kg im not sure need to grab some scales may be a little higher but I want to try to lose 2kg+ by then if it is possible?

I have been on 5/3/1 for the past few months, not sure if I should just continue with that or do something els? I'm a bit clueless atm :(
