If your talking about beta then yes the graphics are bad but its to keep the download size small. I'm sure come release we will see higher res textures.

I think it's partially down to resolution too, doesn't even look close to 720p, I just feel this game would have been better suited and could have looked a whole lot better on PC. Other than that the gameplay felt very clunky and there's something missing from teamplay.
Count me in.
It's just PS3 exclusive for now - was part of the deal with Sony.
I don't think they've ever said it will remain that way and I definitely got the impression that it will appear on PC at a later date when I was at Fanfest earlier in the year

tried the beta myself, didn't think it was all that great tbh, think i'll stick to being in a ship lol

I am currently on my third attempt to get into Eve and from all the advice I keep reading it seems the key to "getting it" is to be part of a decent Corp.
So here I am looking for one, there is a small group of us with very mixed abilities looking for a casual corp to join.
We like the idea of PVP but are not ready to hit low sec or 0.0 space yet and as we all work and have families we will only be casual players.
Do you guys have any suggestions?

Red Vs Blue (RVB) or EVE University.
RvB is about as safe a PvP environment as you can find in EVE, EVE U is for learning about everything but PvP is also pretty big with a dedicated lowsec camp (awesome intro to lowsec), regular lowsec roams and occasional dalliances into Null. EVE U is also currently at war so there are chances of much bigger fights.

I played it in the early Beta weekends, not tried it recently so things may have change/improved. I did enjoy it, and they are trying to do something a little different.
But the stand out/fustrating part for me was the consequences of the skill system. I think it's a great idea to introduce skills and fittings to offer something other than just being a BF or CoD clone. The problem with the DUST skill systems is that you can buy BF3 today and happily shoot whoever I want with the most basic weapons, you can't do that in DUST.
I have stood right in front of someone and emptied my entire ammo supply and still not been able to kill some players.
I am in favour of making a game which takes concepts from Eve like skills and fittings etc. The best analogy for the problem I can think of is a Frigate taking on a Battleship in eve, the frigate can choose to take on the BS by getting under the BS guns or you can choose to escape. In DUST you come across the wrong player you just die.
I worry that because of this DUST will alienate anyone that doesn't start playing the game early, which doesn't bode well for the games longevity.
Played it at Fanfest, didn't like it then, don't like it now.
My main gripe is that it is just too slowly paced.
It's really nothing like COD beyond being an FPS.
Eve is only slow paced if you spend all your time mining or running missions in a BS.

Also, if anyone needs any help, advice, ISK or whatever, feel free to PM me. I've been in some big alliances, and done everything in EVE, and the problem I have now is no friends. I can fly every ship, I have 3 great characters, a substantial amount of ISK (which I wish I could convert to pounds so I can build a new PC
) but nobody to play with. They've all moved on.
