Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Ive never seen the cpu go that high tbh, but gulf of oman and karkand in particular place a bit more strain on my gpu. I play with vsync enabled, but on those two maps i see fps drops to 50. All other maps i get a constant 60fps unless in vehicles where it drops to the mid 50's. I can get 75 average without vsync, but cant do with the screen tearing.

I got it last night for £29.50. I could had got it for £28.50ish but went for a trusted site (it may had been fine but wanted to be sure!)

Google CJS CD keys. Like their Facebook page for a 50p discount code! I got the code instantly and it worked fine.

tbh i wouldnt worry about it paying 400-1000 quid for using msaa is just lols

a 100 pound second hand card can play this very well after that you paying for msaa useage which doesn't matter anyway.

It is a rubbish map, or rather poorly coded map? when I'm traveling by water the fps can be quite poor down in the low 40's with no action on screen, then when I turn the fps goes up. Even though the whole land is still on my screen. Yet my cpu usage rarely jumps beyond 30 - 35%.

Yet I can be on Karkand with debris flying about like crazy in huge open sections, 64 players, tanks, other vehicles and everything whizzing past with motion blur and the fps never drops below 60. Is that not messed up?

I do accept.

I just disagree with those that cite the normal mode as "easy mode" and say that hardcore is harder and act as though playing a "harder" game mode makes them superior.

Its no harder at all, like you say, it just requires different play styles, with hardcore rewarding serious camping just sat waiting for people to walk into your sights. Not that all H/C players do that, but the H/C mode makes this playstyle easier.

Is 11.99 the cheapest ill get the Close Quarters DLC? And whats the benefit of spending 40 quid on premium!!!
 
CQ is worth it for the weapons

I love the L86 and the LSAT for support. The M417 and JNG-90 are great snipers too. MTAR is an absolute beast for engineer too.

Scar-L is an awesome long range accurate low ROF rifle for assault too.
 
Another one to avoid NL[DegC] servers, admin was C4 glitching for the entire game on Metro and told me to stop camping when I asked how he was killing people in the ticket hall from the platform....

Your most important setting is Mesh. It's the draw distance. Put that on High or even Ultra with everything else on low. Then bring other settings up until your hitting the minimum fps you can deal with. I'd say 45 absolute minimum for me, wouldn't hack any lower anymore.

I found that using Afterburners frame rate limiter @59 and any FPS gave me horrific tearing. Just let my 580 fly free now
