Since the takeover I consider just 2 players complete failures. Bridge and RsC. The others played a big part in our previous seasons. Their price and wages were inflated in cases but we had no choice.

Their first summer to plan and make signings was 2009.

so did they have a different owner when berbatov went for a record fee summer 2008 and then it was broken shortly after with the robinho signing?

that's not what i'm suggesting though the robinho transfer was quite clearly a show of just how their transfer strategy was going to go and that, that strategy was in place before summer 2009.

Ryo Miyaichi signed from Arsenal on a season long loan to Wigan. Guess hes not been able to break into the Arsenal first squad so a loan wont do him any harm.

Yeah, from what I have heard he is a complete ***** which is part of the reason they are happy to get rid. I don't think that Fergie can have quite the same effect on a troubled players career as he used to. Players from a young age are on large salaries and always have other clubs whispering in their ear if they are good. Makes it very difficult to control these guys. Ravel Morrisson was just a nutter by all account and has continued in the same vein since leaving.

City obviously think the potential of Rodwell becoming an England international class player is worth the investment they are making. Fact is if he works out he will be a very valuable player.

Was gutted when I saw this earlier on, really wanted him to break into the first team this season. I just hope he has a good season at Wigan, and comes back to Arsenal a bit like Wilshere did from Bolton.

Rooney isn't a lunatic, he's aggressive. There is a huge difference, and lowering Rooney's aggression would completely ruin him.

Fergie is one of the greatest managers ever but this myth that he can change players attitudes etc is rubbish.
