erm i think you have the wrong end of the stick...

im not having a go at VPN users im saying its probably a mistake to stop people being able to buy and play a game legitimately.
especially when its tech savy people who might not have the patience to wait for a purposely delayed release that makes no sense in an internet world with a global economy

its just another sign of publishers over reacting and hurting the real customers

at no point did i accuse you of beeing a pirate....
maybe dont over react to an innocent comment next time like a silly little child crying because he cant have his toys

Technically there's no way Valve can really go through with banning people for this, thousands of people every day are using VPN's for all kinds of legal things like work and entertainment. If Steam happens to be open and the game unlocks it's not your fault and i don't think Valve would be low enough to permanently ban an account over it.
 
Looks pretty good from watching youtube vids.

But think I'll wait until some mods become established with the game like GTA4.

Heres looking forward to an ENB/iCEnhancer and car physics mods. By the time these come out the game will be about £5 in the Steam Sale!

Added to wish list for next year.
 
Using a VPN is fine. Why on earth would they make people wait three days to play it?

BL2 is delayed by 2 days in the EU. I'll definitely be using a VPN to play it at the same time as the yanks.
 
If any kind soul has the triad gear for TF2 and doesn't intend to use it I would appreciate it :)
Long shot I know, Crafted a minigun with my mate and its so much fun lol

Sure.

Go to http://www.your-freedom.net/ and setup an account, download their software and run through the setup, it's pretty self explanatory and has like a wizard when you first run the app.

Then, follow this guide: http://www.your-freedom.net/index.php?id=111

That's pretty much all I did. I will say that I got a Disk I/O error the first time I tried to unlock it though, and had to re download. Second time all activated fine.

Give me a shout if you need any more info.

Got it working, tried a couple of missions...already enjoying it and the gameplay is really good. Camera is a bit awful sometimes, but overall loving it!

Chees mate. Got it working just before I left for nightshift.
Looking forward to having a bash in the morning.
 
Well I unlocked the game by VPN too, it works even with steam in online mode (just played this morning, no problem). High res DLC seems to work too.

The game seems great, with two caveats:
1) It stutters weirdly at times despite FPS being 60
- probably caused by nVidia drivers, I have GTX560Ti and latest WHQL. According to total biscuit nVidia did not have possibility to optimize the drivers beforehand. I guess the AMD Gaming Evolved logo is the culprit here. Hopefully new drivers or patch will sort that out.

2) I somewhat dislike the camera when driving, it shakes weirdly and is too stuck..I would prefer looser camera that does not shake.

Other than these two issues, it really seems like a great game with awesome city.
 
I had to turn the graphics down a little (texture filtering and shadows)

I'm on a 120hz monitor so like to get as close to 120 as possible, with all the graphics on as high as possible FPS was in the 30 realms :eek:

I'm impressed with the performance considering it's effectively day 1 of release. Not many games come out in this state these days.
