I do actually like the look of those snowy maps. It will add a bit of variety. I'm going to call it now though, snow camo snipers will be camping those ice fields...

Hardly, they just ****ed up and tried to screw them over. They offered battlefield 1943 free to everybody who pre ordered it on PS3 then tried to go back on the offer.

When a load of US customers said they were going to sue they offered 1 week early access to the DLC instead.

It won't have been that simple, but you can bet they screwed something up and were forced to do that to keep Sony off their backs.

The lead platform was "consoles"

I bought that pre order premium edition from origin last night, its the combi pack of bf3 and premium, didn't realise I was going to have to wait a month for it to unlock as there's no release date anywhere on origin. Cheeky sods!
 
I havent played BF3 very much at all in the past 3 or 4 months, but I've bought close quarter battle today and have had a fun couple of hours blasting away.
 
Cant play it today keeps crashing all the time and my shorcut on desktop took me to single player,think EA have fixed nothing and broke the game.
