quick question to virgin media bb users...

I download heavy.... as in 400-500gig per month lots of linux isos..... if I limit myself to the time zones and download during these unpeaked/uncapped times would this still be ok with Virgin media ?

Id like to know if anyones been kicked off or told off ?

I download probably 30 gig a month and I've never had a problem.

I've done about 5.5TB on newsgroups since mid Jan - not a peep out of VM, ever. :)

Have VM been screwing around with things? On Quakelive, I've never had anything but a solid connection and low ping. Until tonight when I'm getting constant 'connection interrupted' and 999's. Someone else on quakelive is getting the same issue, also never had this problem before today, and he's with VM. I rebooted the superhub but no difference. I noticed the hub page looks different so I'm wondering if there's some changes going on that need to settle down?

I was upgraded to 60Mb yesterday going from a Rock solid 20MB XL package with no problems to this

So much for a better service!!

Change over my old modem to the super hub last night. All looked good. During configuration it rebooted itself. It came back with a new GUI so I knew then it went online to get a new firmware. From that point onwards the router looks online but does nothing. Spoke with VM who said it looks to be a firmware issue. Only fix is to send out a unit with the new firwmare :/

My dad has just got virgin 100mb in his new house a couple of weeks ago, I did a few speed tests on different days and it hasn't got anywhere near 100meg, most I would say was 50. He hasn't done much downloading so he shouldn't be throttled. I tried to look at his downstream connection but for some reason the super hub thing would not show me? Any ideas, I thought he should be getting about 70-80meg at least
