Has anybody put CM1201408 on suicide watch?

only if you keep posting, Moses.

i don't see why you feel i'm so bothered about a value levy put on him, that's levy, not me who valued him and i wouldn't take any figure as concrete, even the supposed £15m liverpool stumped up for joe allen.

i personally believe it will be a fee + add on's. either way, it's a profit, i'm just annoyed at how it dragged on and now we're going to have to rush a striker through.

anyway, if he has gone, i'm slightly relieved, it was dragging on way too long and his heart wasn't in it with us anymore and i only want players who want to play for us at the club.

The chief football correspondent for The Times (Link) says Liverpool will announce the Sahin loan deal tonight or tomorrow. Cracking deal for them, blimey.

SSN: flying to Spain tomorrow. Fee is about £23.5 million + £3.9 million add ons.

That's the fee + add ons being reported taking it up to that 27.5m figure.

Sahin is meant to be very good, he seems to be in the mould of Alonso. I'd be extremely happy, were I a Liverpool fan.

Every chance that Real will want him back next season if he does well, though.

I saw Tello against Real Madrid and he's definitely talented (fast winger) but seems to have a bit of the Walcott syndrome.

be interesting to know what's happened for the modric deal to go this way. maybe levy's wife being ill has given him a different perspective, too much stress, life's too short etc. something's happened.

that's my point. levy valued him, maybe he figured it wasn't worth the hassle trying to achieve his valuation.

He [Levy] doesn't have magical powers. Clubs won't pay a stupid price if they don't think a player is worth it (unless they are PSG, anyway :p).

He surely realised that keeping up his 'tough dealer' reputation was hurting the club. They need the money and don't need a very unhappy player, desperate to leave.

have we got any further with the rvp deal yet? i read that they now want £25 mil

At the moment we seem to be haggling over a fee. They want £20m~ and we don't want to pay much more than £15m.

Hopefully Fergie and Gill will cave in, it's a reasonably fair price. I imagine we want part of the fee to be appearance related add-ons, to cover the injury risk he carries.

Which is fair enough really, the last thing we want is another Owen Hargreaves, and he had less history of injury prior to joining. Plus, RVP is 29 so realistically he doesn't have more than another 3 or 4 good years left in him, so despite him being the best striker last season I think £20m is the absolute most Fergie should be offering.
