No, you jog on, you're the one with the vile opinion that because a player doesn't want to play for another club he should be physically harmed.

Utd fans were disappointed when Ronaldo left, and he was something far more special than RVP, age and ability taken into account, but we realised he wanted to go, and they wished him the best.

Horrible opinions.

Ronaldo didn't go to Man City did he? If RVP had left for Juventus then I think the reaction from us Arsenal fans would be a little bit different.

A more comparable scenario would be City signing Rooney a few seasons back when he said he wanted to leave. Obviously, United fans would have wished him well....

I'm just sick of modern day football. It's nothing but a greed fest. All about filling pockets rather than trophy cabinets. Man U won't win anything this season. They might have RVP and Rooney, but still roll out the likes of Carrick, Scholes and Giggs in midfield. Vidic can't stay fit and Ferdinand's a liability.

And to be honest, I don't actually want him injured. I just hope he fails dismally. Surely that's allowed.

Scholes and Giggs are probably the 2 most experienced players in the prem and have easily have been 2 of the best players in the last 20 years. Yes they are getting old but they still have what it takes to rule a midfield Scholes coming back at the last transfer window turned Uniteds season around the impact he made was fantastic. Vidic had one bad injury hardly injury prone I just hope he comes back the same player he was before the injury.

Times like these you wish the foums had a Like Button ;)

Up votes too? :D

Riles me when people lose sight of sport.

People should look towards their clubs, not at the players, if you haven't managed to match a players aspirations, they will seek it elsewhere before their time is done, RVP is literally at the edge of his chance, he's given you his all, for 8 years, arsenal have a questionable medical team, he has every right to want to be remembered across the world for achievements, that's what sports are about.

Could be worse... could have flogged him to Spurs. :)

Just have to wait and see if he continues to play well, or if he hits a downward slide ala Torres. I have a feeling Arsenal saw the best from him.

Rumours Charlie Adam has rejected a couple of contract offers from Fulham. Not sure how true this is, though! Imagine (most likely) Sahin joining is freeing Adam up which could now mean a Part Ex for Dempsey now they have the numbers?

Rumours now that Wenger's wading into the Lorente market.

If he signed Lorente and M'Vila then things would look a lot rosier. But it wont happen. I reckon stupid Stan has ordered the sales of RVP and Song to get his money back on the new signings.

And you''re not an arsenal supporter.

Happy to have rvp at the club bug not sure the money wouldn't be betterspent elsewhere

I'll just say it again there wasn't any of this bitterness last summer when City signed Nasri

Arsenal hadn't spent to much time, effort and money on Nasri like they did with RVP. Plus, Nasri never come up with **** and bull about never leaving, which is exactly what RVP did last season.

They're hardly comparable deals though. Arsenal, historically have a far bigger rivalry with Utd than City and Van Persie's considerably more important to Arsenal than Nasri was.

If we do get Sahin then I can't see Adam getting much game time. No idea whether there's any truth in the rumours about Adam rejecting a move to Fulham but if some sort of swap deal is on the cards, I hope at the very worst we're not paying anything on top of the swap.

If you're implying that it's because of ABU tendencies I'd say that's a bit blinkered- any bitterness is far more likely to be due to RVP being club captain, having been with Arsenal for 8 years and coming off the back of an excellent season. Contrast that to Nasri where most fans thought he was a bit of mercenary, that he wasn't as good as he thought he was and that Arsenal unnecessarily prolonged getting shot of him and should have done so earlier especially for the amounts being bandied around :p

Figures floating around is £5m'ish + Adam. Taking Adam at a value of £4-6m.
