it doesnt work properly tohugh as it downloads different packages
the first is 1gb
the second is 4gb
more after? no idea yet
 
I have a nasty issue, with stuttering or frame skipping, when running fullscreen. In windowed mode I get it perfectly smooth. 60fps either way. Anyone else have this sucky problem?

on another forum someone said they get stuttering during high speed driving but its flawless with motion blur turned off.

so maybe se eif motion blur off makes your stuttering go away

Bought on Steam and just pre-loading, preload file size is only just under 5GB though, so expecting to have to download a whole lot more after activation, game specs on Steam specifies 15GB hard drive space iirc, would also like the high res texture pack.

The base game is only around 5.5GB, then with the HD Texture pack which I showed people how to preload earlier in the thread, this takes the install up to around 9.3GB, no idea why they state 15GB, it's no where near.

Yeah I noticed your texture pack link but for some reason I couldn't get it to work earlier, Steam kept telling me it was restricted access or something, just tried it again and it works fine now so i'll download it, thanks for going to the trouble to sort that for us.

Similar here on a 670.

V-sync off / frame rate limit to 60 / motion blur off - seems to sort it for me.

Hopefully will be fixed with driver update or patch.
 
sigh FFS my download finished and steam got stuck unpacking the game... with that BS dsik i/o error because the download was corupt...

this crap wouldnt happen on origin.......
 
On GMG why is the digital copy more than the dvd copy when they have to ship that, makes no sense, Is there a new code to get the price down for the digital copy otherwise i'll just get it on steam.

Remove the 'l' before .jpg to view bigger.
 
lol the only texture that seems to change in those images is the bit of concrete wall below where it says CAMERA and its barely any different.
 
still not what you would expect from a 5gb texture pack though, i was hoping it would be more like the difference you see in skyrim

EDIT:
grants screenshots in the high res screenshot thread look pretty good.
