Ford Focus - which one?

that's very nice and a lot less miles for a few quid more!

What do you think of it being petrol though?

Which would you choose out of the 2? The reason i ask is the 2 x garages are an hour apart.

mmmm, i can't find it on the motorpoint website!

I have a 2l petrol mk4 mondeo. And whilst it's not going to set the world on fire, it's more than adequate. Granted you have to drop a gear or two if you want to make swift progress, but it's fine. It's averaging 33-34mpg according to the trip computer, haven't actually worked it out properly yet, this being my work commute. My old mk3 tdci would average 39-40mpg on same trip.

They dropped the price of this one from £13299 to £12999 today so i went up to see it.

It looked like it hadn't moved in weeks, spider webs etc. There were a few problems which made it a no go for me:

Tyres were 'fullway' all around, never heard of them, but a google shows they are cheap/budget tyres.

Moved the rear view mirror and the whole housing moved, not just the mirror.

The 1st owner was Europcar and had its first service at 14287 on 25 Jul 11 ie it had done 14287 miles in 9 months, the second owner was a private owner.

2nd service was doe on 23 Apr 12.

The car was a very good price, but it seemed to me that it was a car that wasn't looked after - i'm out on that one and back to searching.

I don't think it was a good price to be honest. Yes it is on a 2010 plate but there's nothing special about that particular one, no nav for one thing. Glad you've discarded it as an option.

This one at least is a facelift model: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...de/gu151qr/page/5/keywords/titanium?logcode=p

Otherwise, there are quite a few 09 cars in Titanium X Sport trim with more options as standard for less money but you weren't interested.
