Net Worth

~ £5m but there are several properties that are mine but not in my name at the moment, so they probably bump it up to nearer £6m.

Am I doing this right?

Start higher.;). You also forget to mention the collection of rare exotic cars in the garage. And your investment portfolio.

My property portfolio took a bit of a hit over the last few years, but fortunately I managed to offset this somewhat by investing a lot of my savings into gold just at the right time. I've also had some good returns on my venture into fine wine investments, even in recent years.

I wish!

i am loaded and will never want for anything, ever again.

net worth = no worries.

and thats why i work in retail, just for the fun of it.

How exactly does one work this out? (Serious Q).

You make up a number and multiply it by a number you've plucked from your ass. You then add 5 zeros to it - when no one is looking, obviously - and then start typing in threads just like this one. It's easy!

For seasoned pros it's different. You want to suggest that you're fabulously wealthy but without needing any of that awkward stuff like credibility or likeliness of not being a jobless bum.

"I banked 5 mill yesterday, it was a slow day (here, I'm showing meekness and am open, vulnerable).

When the markets open tomorrow I will destroy them with the strength of a PUMA! (here, I am being manly, also rich, strong animal overtones which is always worth while)"

Watch and learn.

Negative several thousands of pounds, own no major assets and in lots of debt.
If we exclude student loans then probably £3-400

I'm not fussed though, I'm pretty happy.

It's an experiment, I am trying to see if its possible to get you to reply to a thread with anything more than a semi relevant one liner :p

You’re quite welcome to carry on with your inane experiments. If it keeps you happy then I'm happy for you. :p

This is going to be a terrible mix of lies, people arriving at huge figures without knowing whatnet is and people with huge net worth playing it down in an attempt to look cool.

Popcorn?

You could explain roughly how to actually calculate? xD

But yeah, I'll take some popcorn...
