Is Arshavin still at Arsenal?

As a spurs fan I honestly think this is the weakest Arsenal squad in quite some time. Your right back area needs real improvement.

Manchester City Football Club is pleased to announce that Ferran Soriano, former Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Futbol Club Barcelona, has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective from September 1st 2012.

Will be good to have a proper CEO now who has worked in Football before. Cook suffered massively for his lack of experience on the footballing side.

Im unsure on Padolski. If her performs, then you will have a great season, but I really dont know about him, Also Gould, can he deal with the physicality of the league, time will tell. Either way, its going to be a very tight top 6/7 this year.

Van Persie transfer completed

Robin van Persie has completed his medical, agreed personal terms and signed for Manchester United on a four-year contract until June 2016.

The 29 year-old Dutch striker joins the club in time for the start of the 2012/13 Premier League season.

Sir Alex Ferguson said: “Robin is a world-class striker with a proven record in England and in European football. His talents need no introduction to our fans – he has scored a number of goals against us in some classic battles with his former club. His movement, finishing and all-round ability are outstanding.”

Robin van Persie said: “It’s an honour to sign for Manchester United. I am looking forward to following in the footsteps of so many great strikers, bringing my experience and playing my part to help the team compete for the biggest trophies in the game. I can’t wait to get started.”

DM,
If you had say £40m. The money from RvP and Song.

Who would you buy? / Sell to get more money in!

It's a very tough question because you have to consider homegrown/25 man squad/17 foreigners.

Without any limitations I'd sell Walcott, Gervinho, Gibbs, Sagna, Santos, Chamakh, buy minimum 2 full backs, sell Djourou.

In the real world, needing homegrown players we'd need a homegrown player to replace Walcott and Gibbs, Baines would be a very good option, winger, actually I'd be tempted to buy Dempsey but persuade bendtner to stay, he's surprisingly effective on the wing, and MUCH better than Chamakh, would count as home grown and cheaper wage than anyone we could bring in.

I'd seriously consider bringing Larrson back as well, to be a rotation player not particularly first team, not sure how happy he'd be with that. Quality player, he's rarely poor, often very good, exceptional delivery from set pieces and while not the best in the world, solid solid backup and rotation.

Maybe he's getting number 31?

I've gotta say, being a pool fan, it's going to be fascinating seeing united, city and Chelsea battle it out. Some great signings, I hope it's a fight to the bitter end. I do think people are writing chelsea off though - if Torres bangs in the goals I think they will run Manchester very close
