That depends quite you mean the opposite of IW with MW3, at the start of MW3 I had trouble with lobbies but things have got better as time has gone on. So the updates may have made things worse for you but better for me? and that is the problem I see with lag compensation. Personally I would rather they just went back to a netcode like MW2. It wasn't perfect but seemed to be better and more consistent for more people more of the time.
 
How is panic knifing a feature that is present in game, or not present ?

Surely its just bashing the knife button and getting a cheap kill ? the only way to prevent people from doing it would be to remove the knife altogether, which was never going to happen ?
 

Interesting video interview. No pro perks, no deathstreaks, attachments replace weapon based perks. I really am liking the sound of this,

I'm really looking forward to it now.

only issue is that the guys at work all play on PS3, and i'm used to playing iwth you guys on Xbox.

Will have to see if i can pick up a good deal and pick up both for a decent price. If only you could level up both profiles at once !
 

Part 2.

It really does sound like there will be loads of ways to play this game with what they have done to the classes and the point system to allocate equipment/perks.

League play and skilled matchmaking, Alrik will be happy.

Also at the end of the last video he talks about prestige and unlocks, basically when you move up a level you get a token that you can spend. Nice idea.

Ah,awesome! I liked the prestige tokens from MW3. Means I can start with Ghost :D

I like what they're saying about Ghost and the fact that they can tune how much you have to be moving before it hides you from UAV. Which means that it's more than likely you won't just be able to wobble on the spot and have it working. Like Kreeeeee said :p

I never stay still anyway so it doesn't affect me, but these anti camping area fields have been done in many games and all campers will just move the minimum amount to avoid detection.
 
With them actually being able to change how much you have to move then it'll make it difficult for campers to do that.
I know you were being sarcastic when you said you'd just "wobble on the spot" but hopefully this will prevent people from doing that.
I'm always on the move so i'm happy with the changes to Ghost.

There will definitely be gun camo. Bear in mind what we're seeing now is just the alpha code. Even half the weapons are missing. Panic knifing is still in but it's been massively nerfed (see below)

Make it a one hit hill to the back, do 99% damage to the front. Also reduce the mental auto aim and lunge on it.

They're taking the auto aim and lunge away. The knife is only going to kill if you're right next to the guy, and if you're looking right at him.

I like the idea of the OHK to the back, 99% damage to the front however I read somewhere that this can't be done due to engine limitations (I don't know any of the technical details). Would be a nice change in the next IW game on the Unreal 4 engine next year :)

The machinima respawn video asked about character customization, but they said they were going to release more details in September and move on.

I'm really hoping the emblem editor from Black Ops is back, i loved being able to put the Ghost Busters logo or whatever on my Gun and Gamer Card. Likewise the different camos and customisations for apperance etc..

They've also hinted that combat training is back ,and possibly for game modes, but again, we'll have to wait for that :D
 
I have never understood the camping hate, it's a legitimate tactic say in capture the flag to camp and protect your point. Why try and force everyone to play the same way. Surely it would be better to just add huge xp for doing the objective rather try to handicap a 'camper'.

I mean sabotage on mw2 in tight games we would often fall back to defend the last position and not move covering all angles to the bomb. We needed to hold to win and used every tactic we could to ensure the win.

I've never had a problem with it or ghost etc.

I personally hate the "laying on the floor ADSing a corner waiting for somebody to walk into my sights" type of camper.

There are lots of these in COD.

There are also those who "patrol" the same area and hold a particular corner of the map, or flag in domination.

No problem with those at all. Legitimatic tactic after all, nobody is forcing you to run around like a nutter chasing kills.

Some people hate everybody that doesnt play the game that way, thinking doing anything other than that means you have no skill.

Will that be next year though? I know they will be using UE4 for the next gen games but we need next gen first.

That's the sort of camping I hate.
People who just camp in a corner waiting for people to run by.

From what i've read elsewhere Ghost doesn't stop working as soon as you stop moving. You have something like 5 seconds before you show up on the map.
