I'm sure it was free last year when you pre-purchased MW3 on Steam. I think that's how I got the Steam registered version.

Most games that are on Steam more than a couple of years old have been on sale at some point, people just think they haven't because they don't show up multiple times in every sale.

Is it worth playing on the PC? Can you still just hop on and knock out a few games or is everyone on other games, and you can only play CoD4 if you sort out people to play with/competitive play?

is one of the biggest comp games there is load of chocka full servers

promod you mainly play netsky servers for public

tdm free for all and so on normal there's loads playing . instant joining with proper dedi servers . this is why its one of the most played games still and will be for years yet .

on promod standard will probably be higher than normal pub . dont know what skill you are .

I dont think age is a valid reason to drop the price of a game. Not one as successful as cod4, anyway. It's still the best in the series, imo, and from that point of view I can't see why it should be any cheaper the the rest of the cod games.

if cod4 was released today, i still would have paid £30 quid for it.
