PSU Works at shop but not at my house. -__-

My money is on a short somewhere. As suggested above take everything out of the case and build it on the table to see if it powers up.

Sounds more like the mobo is on its way out, my old rig (Q6600) used to do the same, black screen on boot only way around it was hard shut down.
Eventually the mobo died an never worked again :(

Thing is my MoBos only a year old, if that, also, the PC kept blue screening 5 minutes from the PC being turned on and it finally had its last blue screen. Tbh i was thinking of selling the pc this time around when i fix it as I have to keep replacing parts

How many amps are on the 12v rail of that so called 450w psu? Sumvision is a extremely poor make.

Do you have the 24 pin and 4/8 pin leads both plugged in? Is the 24 pin all the way in?

?? I just went out and brought a corsair cx500, installed it and the PC wont turn on, thought the PSU was dead went back to the store and they tested it with a voltage reader & plugged it into a MoBo

It most likely is your motherboard causing the problem. You really need to take your system there so they can check each component.

That's the first mention of a Corsair PSU in this whole thread.
Your sig says Summy.

Where'd you bring the PSU anyway?

I can't really do that, The system is like 10KG+, I'm 15, Live in east london and have to travel to central london to get to the shop

Yupp tried one stick, same thing

I had a problem recently where I could not switch on my pc so thought it was the psu.

Disconnected all but the motherboard supply and supply for the cpu (disconnected all drives, removed all ram and disconnected gfx) and it switched on.
Reconnected drives and added ram, still worked.
Reconnected my gfx card and nothing, so my gfx card is now away being repaired.

I did buy a psu tester but you don't need that as the shop has proved that is not the problem.
