Wow! What an experience... As I'm starting to get social again I made the decision to log in to a chat room... put it this way, it started out well, got friendly with a lady, chatted for over an hour...she was in London and me in the West Midlands, to put a long story short, I got bored and she was married...

Last time I went in a room I ended up in a relationship for about 4 years. made me think that all I wanted was fun, but with eye-to-eye contact and the fun of interaction.

At this moment in time, my mind is fuzzy, my senses are buggered and perhaps I'm talking utter nonsense (more than likely), but there must be more to life than chatting to people in real-time? I found myself really trying far too hard to impress and be funny, rather than just being myself, the main thing that I learnt was that I didn't learn anything:confused:, at least on here it is informative, I gain knowledge, some of it useful and some not so;). The time has finally come for me to meet people and socialise, which has been the bane of my existence due to unforeseen problems.

Anyway here's what I did after chatting...

Deleted account, came back on here:D.

What are your views on chat rooms guys? For me it really didn't help at all.

EDIT : Sorry not making sense i'm tired. So i'll be prepared for the backlash of the negative replies as per usual when I next logon. :)

She was married?

'She' was probably a hairy arsed trucker from Detroit. You got away lightly :)

Oh boy, here we go.

To be fair, a vast number of us probably have more posts on these forums then conversations with real people...

(as a side point I completely support the whole chatting with real people thing - do it more weirdos :p)
