Yes it was fine with the old drivers and now its not, its upto him if he wants to get the to bottom of it or not and not you.
There is nothing complicated about my suggestions, its only complicated for you clearly and im not suggesting anything to you so why are you so upset about it.
I have more clients all the time so clearly my approach is not over complicated as you make out, it gets results and im in high demand at my main job because no one at any place that i have worked has been able to get around the issues like i have and that's coming from what they say, 90% of what i do is bespoke, so yeah im not worried about clients.
Its you who started this, your reply to me had no contributing factors at all, you have been here long enough to know about my bad typing and grammar so stop crying about it, if its to much for you then don't bother replying to me seeing as your not able to decipher what i type, so stop hurting yourself by trying.
Nothing more to be said, the OP is going to do what he feels best out of what has been suggested.
And yes will be offering advice about drivers and stability in the future and it wont be just rollback at the slightest issue im sorry to say.

No where did he say that rolling back has resolved his issues and in fact he has a new one.

Yes and i have seen many examples of that falling also, even by his other comment he is not sure of that, he clearly has a more open mind.

At what res? It's known that the last couple of releases are geared towards two cards rather than 3 or 4. Anyone I've seen at 1080p has never gotten 95% scaling on 3 cards in BF3 MP.
Happens me a lot after installing or un-installing, I just wait for the HD light to stop flashing and then hit the shutdown button.

but even at 3840x1080 it doesn't go as high as 95-99% with 12.6 or higher
With 12.4's you get 95% scaling on 3 cards in Bf3 MP? Usually anything over a 32 man server doesn't scale well for me. Could be latency though aswell. I want to sell one of my cards and get a 7990 when it comes out.
Well I'll be sending back my GTX670 tomorrow and ordering my 7970. BF3 is the main game I'm playing at the moment but from other titles I can see the want for the AMD card.
What driver is best for BF3 for the 7970?. It would be handy for some people's input on this as that will be the first game I'll be trying. I just hope I'm going to be happy with the card and not send it back to get the GTX 670 again as that's £20 spent on postage for sending back the 2 cards if I do switch back. For the £300+ I'm spending I'm not worried at spending £10-£20 to make the right choice

Mods please have a word with Rusty as he's quite offensive and really isn't people friendly from what I've seen. First Rusty questioned Final8y's English as in not being his first language, then he said his grammar is appalling. I'm sorry but this forum gets used INTERNATIONALLY and his demeanor is unacceptable. I have many international friends and can only applaud their efforts to learn a new language. Can Rusty speak all of the other languages fluently?. If not then how would he feel getting ridiculed for it?. He had a point of discussion, just as Final8y did, but he crossed the line several times. He certainly does not handle social situations well if challenged.
I'm not here to argue though. Rusty will be ignored. I just feel very offended for the people who learn a new language and then have to deal with an attitude like Rusty's here at OCUK. If this is meant to be a family atmosphere then what is it based on?. Shameless?. Come on OCUK and stomp this kind of attitude out around here as it's immature and offensive. 12.8 driver with 12.7cap 3 is the driver set you want. Uber performance in bf3 for 7970 with this driver. They've really nailed it and finally cracked that code what gimped aa on AMD cards.
