Any idea why my Steam downloads at 500kbps peak? Every other program downloads much faster. :confused:

Nope, Steam is almost always great for me, other than during sales which is understandable. Try changing your download location, that sometimes works, at least you have that option with Steam.

I'm thinking of picking up Cryostasis, I played it a few years back and it seemed a really interesting game. Played it for a few hours.
 
Cryostasis is worth it for that price, completed it was pretty good but was a pain to run smooth though might be fixed now.
