GOOD NEWS SPURS FANS

we've SOLD bassong. he's gone to norwich!!!

huddlestone and dawson's days are numbered methinks

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/aug/20/tom-huddlestone-michael-dawson-tottenham

I've not seen much of Bassong, how do you rate him? I'm guessing from this post that you aren't a huge fan of his, ahh well, he can't be as bad as some of the ***** defenders we have at the moment :o

I would take Tom Huddlestone any day of the week, every time I have seen him play he has been very good. He would get into most midtable teams with ease.

He's not Prem quality. He's a liability, certainly short term. If he gets a long run in the team he might find some form but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Huddlestone would be a great loan move for pretty much any team that finished below Spurs last season.

Reporter on Twitter says we aren't paying any of Adebayor's wages just straight 4m.

Great news if true. 4m of course is nothing really but getting rid of him without any future financial commitments is very good indeed.

RSC is set to go to Betis on a free as well. We are just terminating his contract and letting him go on a free. Cheers Hughes

Really glad that Ade has finally signed, however I'm really not happy about the supposed bid for Dawson. Have mentioned before that IMO when fit he is our best CB and has really grown as a player after his time alongside the King and so would be a massive loss to the club as a whole if he was to go.

Have Charlton signed Ricardo Fuller?

EDIT: Yes they have. Brother at the game has just messaged that he is there tonight. That is not a bad player at all for a free transfer. Especially for us.

Mixed feelings about the Spurs stories today.

Thudd. I still think he could be an exceptional player, either in midfield or defence. He was superb for Derby in defence and I can't help but think he would fit the AVB ball playing CB role perfectly in time. He does need games though and if he's not going to get them at Spurs I guess a loan makes sense.

Bassong, finally getting rid of him is a great move. Still wondering on the fee however.

Adebeyor, again, depends on the financial aspects of the move. He's a good striker but he should have scored a lot more goals last season and this season may depend on how well he gets on with AVB.

Dawson is a tough one. Would I want Spurs to keep him over Gallas, in an ideal world, probably, yes. He is however 28, injury prone, and never in a million years worth "in excess of £9 million" at this moment in time. You can see it happening though, him never having another injury in the next 5 years, and proving to be one of the best English CB's around at QPR, if he goes there. Would be surprised if other clubs don't get involved though.

I'm not a Spurs fan (nor QPR fan), but I'm with you there. A fit Dawson, one getting a run in the team, is IMHO one of the best CBs in the league. He's got good vision and passing too. It's a shame it's all unravelled for him over the past couple of seasons.

i'll be happy if dawson stays, don't get me wrong but if we get over £9m for him, i believe we could get a better cb from outside the UK for less. would be just what qpr needed though, with their leaky defence and they'd probably pay him more than us too.

You might be in for Sahin, but i very much doubt you'll get Llorente aswell.

No way would Wenger have bought Podolski and Giroud to sit on the bench.

Podolski would be perfectly fine on the left, and Giroud and Llorente could be rotated, it's not like Arsenal have a good track record of having players stay injury free.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

Heres hoping he will come to Spurs instead, but he's probably being linked to drive up interest in him.
