Popped up to Tesco for lunch and some woman reversed out and caught the rear of my bumper as i passed her bay .
She was going to drive off but ran after her and stopped her .
She was a young eastern European women driving a Passat Diesel . Now i got her details and reg and she muttered in broken English about paying cash as she was a new driver .
I popped into my local bodywork guy and he quoted £100 to respray the bumper .
Now given this is my £700 mondeo that i use to go to work and back i really dont care about the damage (3inch by 2inch scrape) . But its the principle of the thing .
I txted her the other day and explained it would be £100 if she wanted to avoid the insurance route and nothing.... So txted again tonight and explained if she did not call or txt i would take it via insurance .
Is it worth it ? I dont care about the damage but i dont see why she should get away with it . Car is insured (although not sure she is )
What should i do ?
