Is the OTA JB meant to have hit all GNs? My friend just bought an EU GN sim free in order to get JB but it is not updating for some reason. He is a complete technophobe so won't flash any images manually. Any ideas why the OTA is not appearing?

Can anyone assist me with an annoying 'feature' of this Nexus I'm borrowing?

I've customised it a little to suit my preferred way of working and have installed Nova Launcher, but the phone keeps returning back to the standard launcher under certain conditions.

The most annoying is when I get an email and I swipe down on the notication bar/menu to read the preview. If I then press on the email to enter the Gmail client, when I exit the client I get sent back to the stock launcher and not Nova.

Any ideas why this might be happening and what I can do to stop it?

Sounds like the Gmail client is hardcoded to launch the default launcher app or your launcher replacement isn't as well coded as it should be.

Recycled my Galaxy S II at CPW today, looking to get the Nexus.

Where's the cheapest one I can find, is the £300 price tag for a sim free Nexus about right?

Got a new GSM unlocked one off ebay last week, it was £295 free shipping. It updated to JB the day I got it and i rooted it last night.

It sounds like you need to set the phone up to use Nova launcher as the default launcher, and then it shouldn't load the stock launcher instead. If you find the launcher in Settings>Applications, then click 'Clear Defaults', next time you press Home it should ask you to choose the default launcher. Hit Nova and then Always and you should be fine :)

Anyone running Cyanogenmod on their Galaxy Nexus now?

Nope, gonna wait until it gets to RC stage or better. I had CM9 on there for a day before the first JB build leaked :D

Whats with the YAKJU vs YAKJUXW firmware version on the Nexus?

YAKJU = OTA updates directly from Google
YAKJUXW = Samsung

Which version am I likely to get?

I've since realised it's only when I press the 'Back' button instead of 'Home'.

I don't know if that's my fault for having got used to that method on my previous phones (Hero and Desire) or if it's a coding issue with the launcher.

Already done that - sorry, should have been clearer with my original question.

It's just under certain circumstances where the notification bar takes me into an application and then I exit said app to the older launcher.

A quick press of the Home button takes me straight back to Nova.

anyone find that on 4.1.1 when someone rings you and you answer the ring tone still plays for about a second? the person on the other end can hear it too!

also seams to take longer charging?

What's the screen durability like for this phone?

I'm weighing up between a One S which has Gorilla Glass vs a Galaxy Nexus. I'll most likely have a case such as the Diztronic ones.

Just another vote for SwiftKey. It's brilliant, makes typing so quick. Typing this post now using it and not even trying to be accurate bug its nailed everything.
