I usually live by the rule of "if it looks too good to be true then it probably is", which is just common sense, but what do we think of these?

Oakley Radar..

Almost certainly fakes but for that price you might as well take one for the team.:p

Commuted on my Rose today and turned on Strava to go see how fast I could go. I was really going for it on a straight and when I slowed down for a traffic light another roadie passes me and calls me a "******". Got to love London! Did he think I was racing him or something? I know, cool story bro, but he hurt my feelings. :p

If you know what you're doing, they might be worth buying on the off-chance that they are genuine.
If they are fakes - bin them!
I'v heard that cheap glasses like that are actually worse for your eyes than not wearing any glasses at all. They are dark, so your pupils will dilate a little when you wear them (same as any sunglasses) but they dont have the proper filtering that a proper pair of glasses have, so you actually end up with more UV light etc getting into your eyes.

He's jealous of your bike ;)

Just went out for a 22 mile round trip jaunt and beer with a friend so casual pace, but powered it down a faux flat (the good kind) for a bit and 1m 59s lap time (1 mile) which I assume is my quickest, though 10 miles is the lowest Endomondo records PBs for. Felt good either way! Definitely need a bigger gear though - only 39mph max :(

New bike teaser :)

Just clicked join on the OcUK club on strava. im minesh tailor.

Just been out for a quick blast and quickly realized that i would benefit from some lights. Any advice on decent ones to get. Budget wise im looking at about £150.

Do you want lights to see or to be seen?

If its to be seen then you can get the Exposure Flash / Flare combination for about £80. Or you can get the rear (Flare) for around £40 and look at something bigger at the front.

Some people might suggest getting something from Magicshine but I hate them; they don't output anything like the power advertised but they spill it all over the place and blind anyone coming the other way.

Philips do a front light for about £100 that is apparently brilliant, and is properly dipped providing an even wide spread of light one the road rather than signalling to low flying aircraft.

I was hoping to get lights for both to be seen and be able to see if this is possible. il take a look at the ones suggested.

Has anybody had any experience with HOPE lights i.e the district rear and the vision one or r4 front lights?

This photo really doesn't do it justice as it was a quick snap after getting out of the car using the phone also pretty tired after driving best part of 400 miles.

It's basically a brand new never ridden Enigma Ti with a custom aquablast finish and mirror polished decals they experimented with but found it too costly/time consuming to offer it as a finish option. Full SRAM Rival groupset. Only thing that isn't new is the cheapish wheelset. Got her complete for less than the frame itself costs new. Absolute steal and well worth the journey to collect it :)
