From what I gather it's going to be cooler and quieter than both the MSI and Sapphire cards, just a whole lot uglier.

If someone was to offer me the Iceq with sleeping dogs for £239.99 they would draw back a nub.
 
Recommendation please. Currently have a 4870 which needs replacing. Which of these cards should I go for? Looking to spend the least possible, but would still like a decent jump in performance from what I have if possible.
 
I can't decide for a build I am doing for someone. 7850, 7870 or 7950. From what I can see, the difference between 7870 to 7950 is not that much? Also, the 7850 appeas the same as 7870 but just typically clocked lower at stock? Is the best buy here to get the best 7850 you can and overclock?

I wouldn't go lower than the 7950 because of the vram.

Of course if you plan on upgrading often or don't plan on using hi-res texture mods/packs in things like Skyrim, 2gb should be ok.

That's exactly what I intend to do. Bought a 7850 in the end, they can clock to near 7950 performance levels. I won't be bothered it can't but nice to know they clock well.

7850 = £156
7950 = £228

I didn't consider it worthwhile enough, plus it's over my budget.

after 18 months without any graphics card i might order this tonight!

my good quality ocz stealthxstream 400w should do ok with it, this 7850 has around the same draw that my old card 6850 had until it gave up after 4 months (i didn't replace it!)

i'm looking forward to digging the flight controls out for fsx again and i don't plat bf3! did like a bit of crysis 2 though.

this cards idle low noise performance is very important for me! i use the headphones when gaming

2GB is enough even in Surround/Eyefinity unless you're going tri-SLI/trifire

would i still be able to get atleast £100 for my 560ti do you guys reckon? if so am definatly upgrading to a 7870 / 7950
 
I went for the last one. Apparently the IV cooler is a improvement over the III, and for an extra £8 I thought it was worthwhile.

This is what it says on the product description.

The cooler looks similiar, is the fan diameter on the IV slightly larger?

I wouldn't believe the dust removal hype for a second! How would that work? LOL :D

£8 is a beef curry and a portion of spring rolls! ;)

Sapphire OC 7950

Both same price, which is best bet?
