Hey guys,

Figured this was best in it's own thread. Was looking at the Galaxy SIII contracts (it's been years since I had a proper mobile phone) and this is all kinda new to me I guess? (yes laugh it up :p)

Seen a T-Mobile contract for £33 for 2k minutes, unlimited texts and internet. So far looks the best value that I've seen. Was just wondering if T-Mobile do discounts, like student ones? Or does anyone know any better value for money contracts? (although this does seem like the best). It is a 24 months contract.

Halps would be appreciated. :o

How many minutes, texts, data do you actually use?

Paying extra for more minutes is not good value if you never use it. So many people get duped by phone companies on this.
So many people say they have a great deal and have several thousand minutes for expensive amount.
yeah but how many do you actually use.
Umm 200 minutes
well you could have got that for about a tenner.

Do you really need 2,000 minutes and unlimited texts? And 24 months?

Or is this just the cheapest contract you have found that gives you the SGS3 for free?

Three SIM200 £6.90/mo 12mo - 200m, 5000t, 500MB* - £50 Quidco - eff. £2.73/mo

Ring up or add AYCE data online for extra £3pm = £5.73 a month.

Or if you need more minutes get either of these.

Ess.Int.SIM600 (12mo) - £12.90/mo 12mo - 600m, 5000t, 1GB - £58.33 Quidco - eff. £8.04/mo

Ult.Int.SIM600 (12mo) - £15.90/mo 12mo - 600m, 5000t, Unltd - £75 Quidco - eff. £9.65/mo

Then get the phone separate. Sorted! :)

But then you would have to be on Three.... :(

But whatever you choose, you can do a hell of a lot better than £33 a month for 24 months for a truck load of minutes and texts you wont need.

Hang on, bit confused as im in exactly the same position as the OP.

Id probably need a low amount of minutes, even texts probably 500 is plenty for me but I want no limits on Internet use

Which one would be best for me to get?

And where do you get the phone cheapest!

Yeah, minutes are the least important to me. Internet usage is probably the most important thing to me, next to texts. But, I'm not too sure about having to go on 3. Really don't like them.

But then you have to be on O2, or T-mobile or Vodafone etc :p

I don't think any network are bothered by texts anymore. Data wise with Three you either get 1GB or All You Can Eat data plan which is unlimited data.

GiffGaff also offer unlimited data.

Giffgaff as well

Do they still have that 1GB per hour thing?

Get's updated usually every Monday, as that's when plans / prices and Quidco / TCB deals tend to change.

Hmm, I figured getting the phone with a contract was a much better option, shows what I know. I quite liked the idea of being able to swap the phone out when there's a better one. :p

OK cheers, so I buy a sim online (SIM200) via Quidco, then add the unlimited internet data via Three... then I can stick this in any Samsung SIII I purchase (assuming its sim free).

So im looking at £10 a month roughly for what I need, get £50 quidco cashback and then buy the phone at 450 quid and im just in for 12 months.

Makes me sick thinking about paying that for a phone, but then I suppose over the contract id be paying for it anyway by not using what 'package' I had to pay for.

.

Never noticed it. But looks like there is something along those lines. You don't even use 1Gb an hour streaming Netflix.

Sgs3 isn't anywhere near 450.
Also check eBay for factory refurbished/warranty replacements. As these can be much cheaper..

Giffgaff sounds tempting, but I heard they're getting too big for their own good and have been having problems?

Too many options. :p
